Hi All,

Long time M6G forum goer here. Currently have my 2021 GT Premium up for sale and am looking at a Dark Horse Premium.

I hate to admit it but I just miss driving a manual after the last couple of years and a 750hp supercharged 10 speed, while a lot of fun on the streets, is more geared towards the track than it is "old man weekend driving". If I can sell my current Mustang at a decent price I may actually be joining you folks over here.

I still hate the tail lights; blech!!! But the front end is starting to grow on me and the Dark Horse (or Dork Horse as my partner calls it) Premium front end is starting to grow on me!!!

Anything I should be wary about?

I know!!! I KNOW!!!

">

I've been watching a few YouTubers who I have followed for a bit; both rolling in S650 (one a base GT 10 speed for boost and one in a DH 6 speed) and it's got me thinking... A lot!!!

After rolling with 750hp 10R80 for the last 1.5 summers (summer ain't over yet) I realize how silly overpowered it is for the street. Sure it's fun, for about 2 minutes, then it's back to gas, brake, gas, brake, occassionally paddle shifting. I can't take it out in the rain, I don't drive it during the winter, I can't leave it anywhere in the GTA cause Brampton's Finest will throw it onto a rail car before I can say "Dude, wheres my car".

I just feel it's time to get into a car I can enjoy some actual driving!! Spirited sure, but just driving. No trying to break the sound barrier! I suppose at the same time I can play PONG on the screen or watch a Netflix movie or something!

Just need to find a good place to sell my current Mustang to a good home and then look forward!

It's funny, because the non-premium S550 has the opposite problem: here's your entire dashboard keypad for dialing phone numbers. Oh, and don't worry, for "safety", even when you have a passenger, we'll disable the keypad if the car is moving.

Yup - first thing you should be worried about is "NEVER GETTING ONE" after you order it, if you order it.

Or more importantly:

1. Finding a slug dealer that will have an allocation, and give it to you at MSRP
2. Waiting till the 2025 order banks open (if they do cause I was told they are discontinuing this model)
3. Spending +$70K for a DH which is essentially a GT Performance Pack, minus the Tremec which you can get for about $57K
4. Then if you get by all the above and want to spend money foolishly - waiting a YEAR or more to get the car, if you ever get it. I say that from experience as I had a DH order that was JUST CANCELLED by Mother Ford with NO REASON GIVEN ... and that's no Bull Shit

That’s a tough break. The one I’m looking at has a VIN so ford has committed to building it. However I’m heading in to drive on today right after driving my s550 to that dealership. So I’ll see Apple to Apples(ish) and decide if the juice is worth the squeeze.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they do discontinue it. I don’t think it’s sold as well as they had hoped. I have only seen 1 out in the wild. 2 GT park at the train station I use but no DH

How dare you even think about selling that 6G Mustang!
Gonna have to report this back to the rest of the 6G group and kick you out!!!

Kidding of course. No worries... the Dork Horse is pretty cool...

Spies. Spies everywhere!!!!

I haven’t decided yet. To be honest I’m learning it may be quite hard to sell a supercharged car. Even accepting the depreciation.

i do want to test drive a manual one with recaro seats to see if it passes the vibe check before I throw the deposit down and wait. And wait. And wait. And cross my fingers ford doesn’t cancel it.

When I got my S550 I bought it sight unseen from a dealership 2000km away cause I got tired of waiting for Ontario to get one I wanted.

I'm sure that will be a tough sell. Kind of need the right buyer that wants those mods to get back some money. A dealer most likely won't give you more just because of the mods. Maybe try selling the 21 first before you go try and get a new 24/25? Take excellent photos and list it for sale on FB Marketplace and on the mustang6g classifieds section. You will reach an audience that will likely find the mods more appealing on those sites.

Also - definitely test drive a car with the Recaros... my personal opinion on those seats: 👎

The only Recaro seat I want in my life is this Recaro Racing Toilet.

I think that recommendation of waiting until I sell the S550 first is probaly fiscally responsible. That and it will give me time to chat with she who keeps better track of my moeny than I do.

I had a Roush blown 2020 GT PP car and it was a bitch to sell it had a 3 year 36 mile warranty from Roush - but what Roush fails to tell you is the warranty IS NOT TRANSFERABLE got hosed on a sale. The people that finally bought it insisted on an inspection so I needed to have a Ford dealership of their choice inspect it before they would buy it. 🙄. They paid for the inspection- lucky me… Needless to say if it ain’t a blower car from factory, it ain’t ever gonna be one - 🤣🤣🤣

I hear ya. Actually, I am aware about the nontransferable warranty from Rauch and it is also a three-year 36,000 mile warranty but it is from the date that the car goes into service. I have my supercharger installed at 17,000 km and I just turned 24,000 km now so it’s in pristine shape plus she is a queen. I also treat my cars like they are my children lol but yeah, I hear what you were saying. Fortunately, I am not in any kind of rush.
