seriously, give it up. There is no rhyme or reason. There is no "should X" in any Ford IT system. You'd have better luck predicting the next earthquake on Jupiter.
Or the Powerball numbers! :D

Well, My Mustang arrived at the dealer after being in shipping for 22 days. I don't even live west of the Mississippi. I had the sales person take pictures as it was being unloaded. It had 19 miles on it and shipping plactic removed from the interior and exterior. The transport mode was off also. Bad signs. Transport folks took it for a spin, perhaps.
I had them take pictures of the left front bumper area and guess what, the dreaded gap between headlight and bumper was there. I could not get over to the dealer that night. So the next day I get to the dealer and it now has 26 miles and a cracked windshield.
They say it happen when the tech did the mandatory test drive. Being they have no manual vehicles at this dealer, I'm guessing the guy wanted to feel the gearbox.
They said they will order a windshield from Ford. I don't want a new windshield, I want a new unmolested car.
I requested my deposit be returned.
I had two other S650s that would be OK BUT they both have the bumper gap.
I think I'm done with the S650. A long wait for nothing. I wish I did not care about quality. But at $55k price point I can't help it. Good luck with all your S650 Mustangs.

I understand your frustration. I would be livid. I've got almost $60K invested in my build.
What is your plan now? Unless we get a new President in the White House, I'm expecting V8s will soon go the way of the dinosaurs.

Yeah it did seem odd. The Ford fella even said so. Directly from Ford too, not my salesman or dealership. My order went in 03/28/23, haven't gotten an FMC email since last August. This whole Darkhorse journey has been odd lol.
Nearly a year of waiting? Bless your patience.

Looking to find another one. I want the last of the V8, manual vehicles built. I just don't want to go through the ordering thing again. Making sure the bumper/ headlight is installed correctly. I can't give up on the S650.

roadpilot, I can really feel your concern. Michigan, right?

Well, I was going to say, "This isn't the airport, so you don't have to announce your depature", but I didn't want to be rude ... :cwl:

well you have 4 more years to bide your time. Maybe Ford will fix things. Maybe they'll come up with a color that isn't a derivative of gray.

Mine as well.
Cool, happy for you man!

Bad news for me is 90% chance I'm not taking it. I'm in the middle of selling my house and moving. Bad timing to put it mildly. It's not going to be easy to say no after waiting 4 and a half months. I need to stay strong!

If it sticks around the dealership after the move is complete I am going to have a hard time still saying no...

Two step process, but eventually down your way in FL. Looking for something in the St. Pete area but going to wait a few years for the FL real estate bubble to crash or at least correct.

For now moving to our beach condo in Maryland
