I can set my active exhaust on my GT s650 to sport and sometimes track. Next time I start it it is at Normal is this suppose to happen? Anyone else have this problem? Not really a big deal to bring it up on the screen and change it Just Curious. Thanks for replying.

Yeah this is intended. Kind of a pain but I either put my car in sport or I use the favorite button

Due to sound ordinances, Ford can't allow the car to remain on the louder than "normal" setting. It has to default to the "normal"

Yeah I was navigating through menu screens every start-up until I found the favorite button. Now it's engine on, favorite button (track mode), and roll out! Well, in 2024 when it's nicer outside, anyway.

I got around it going back to normal by adding a H Pipe and gone goes the resonator. Nice rumble now. Put active exhaust on track and you have enough noise to wake the dead. Just like the sound.

Maybe a dumb question, but where's the favorite button, and how can it be programmed? Is thst the blank button to the left of the pony button below the infotainment screen?

I'm glad that button to the left is a blank! That would disable the auto start/stop at every stop sign and red light. You don't have that, so it's a dummy button.

The favorite button is to the right and looks like a star. You can program it to do a few different things. I chose mine to configure the exhaust to track mode. I found it playing around in the main menu, but I'm sure it's in the owner's manual.

I must have a different car but mine always starts in sport mode. It stays there because I guess it got tired of me putting it there. I dunno.

You're quoting a 2 year old post.

But to answer your question, It's the star button.

You're gauge cluster might be in sport mode, but you're exhaust and drive mode certainly are not.

The entire manual is online and accessible in your car. It's a fun read.
Some of it is good reading. It's also sitting on my coffee table. Yes, I'm a caveman, tree wasting, owner's manual reader that drives a petroleum fueled automobile that is going to kill all of us because it is creating the ozone hole (remember that?) and changing the climate.

I also paid the $60 or so for the paper manual. I hate the digital manual but have it up on my ipad for quick reference. I mentioned only the digital sources because they are at no cost.

But yeah, I like tactile pages to turn much better as well!

When I do my tunes, I just set all modes to track active exhaust settings - basically all open all the time if that's what my customer asks for. Super easy in the tune.
