While I've owned a Mustang before, this will be my first one I've actually had in my possession and driven since moving to Texas 3 years ago.

I have no doubt I'm going to get a bunch of gawking though, and those may turn into impromptu invites.

Yeah this will be my first mustang as well. My brother has an M3 and use to be into car clubs heavy.
May look to start something if we have other Texas drivers.

My vert finally on CSX rail car after a week in New Boston Rail yard. My fifth Stang is getting closer to home.

For the past two weeks my atlas blue GT convertible has been in production. I’m wondering which pieces the assembly plant is waiting on.

My ETA updated today from 8/31-9/6 to 8/22-8/30 first time it has moved up but still awaiting shipment anyone else have a similar experience?

Just chatted with ford, released for carrier p/u, 8/31-9/6. So dates changing daily.

I contacted the FORD chat, I was told that my car should be at the dealership by 9/9. Still sitting at IN PRODUCTION status since 8/9. But she didn't tell me what year, just Sept 9.... LOL

I’m in the exact same boat. In production since 8/9 told should be by sept 6. Lll

Update 8/21/23 - Even though my window sticker shows "Convoy" for shipment, the latest information I have been given is that it is currently shipping by rail. Ford customer support gave me the railcar number which I was able to track. It appears to currently still be at the New Boston, MI railyard. Ford told me last week it was shipped via Precision Vehicle Logistics, but my understanding is they were simply transporting it to the rail yard. My best guess is the rail cars are currently being loaded and the train has not yet left.

I'll check tracking on the rail car daily as I should be able to follow it's progress. Current ETA from Ford is 8/27/23 to 9/2/23, so the dates are changing, but also narrowing. Looks like I could possibly have the car next week.

How did you track rail car? Chat gave me mine but CSX will not advise location only to customers aka Ford. Will ask dealer to ck VinView tmw.

For CSX tracking:
Call 877-744-7279
Options 2-1-3
After prompt, say: Location
After prompt, say: The 4 letter railcar prefix
After prompt, say: The railcar number
After prompt, say: Done

That will give you the last location as well as the scheduled arrival date at the end location.

There are How-Too's all over the internet, even videos on Youtube. You are not suppose to call and talk to a actual person! If you get an actual person, you hang up and try til you get the automated resposne to input the information.

You can ask the salesperson to add your cell to the VINview for updates too.

Not sure if it was me calling up the chain and making my displeasure known or just timing, but it's now "built" and should be in my hands within 48 hrs.
