By then I would had paid this one, will keep for my grandkids and buy my a 2022 model. Probably the 4 cyl will have Turbo/hybrid version and the V6 will get a Turbo and very limited amount of V8's at a extropharic amount

Let the good times begin. We can wonder about:

1. Euro styling v. retro styling
2. Will it be smaller/lighter?
3. Could we still have a V8?
4. Will it still have the MT82?
5. Will a decent sound system be available?
6. Track handling or drag racer?
7. It's gonna cost HOW much?
This made me chuckle.

There are alot of things a OEM can do to get EPA credits. Ford hasn't had to do alot of them yet due to the success of the ecoboost.

Active grille shutters
cylinder deactivation
Start Stop
YF1234 AC Refrigerant

Lots of little things to help out the fleet, that will keep the V8's around. It's Corporate Average Fuel Economy.

I really don't know why everyone has a hard on for the end of the V8, whether they want to see it gone or are afraid of it. The Coyote left direct injection on the table for one. Displacement on demand, despite everyone hating it. Here's an idea, go smaller displacement with similar output. My point being there are plenty of ways Ford can keep the V8 on a standard Mustang as an option. Remember, the requirements are by FLEET, not per model. I also believe the style of car, its classification, can have a say in how it impacts the manufacturers EPA requirements. Automotive manufacturers get too much from performance cars to have not lobbied against something that was going to wipe them out, and I'd bet dimes to dollars Ford and GM wouldn't sit idle and be forced to axe the classic American V8.

According to my plan, by 2021 I will be driving a new Porsche C4S. But I will still be rooting for the new Mustang.

Notice the Fusion coming back to America!!

"The next‐generation MKZ (CD622) was moved from the Hermosillo plant to Flat Rock Assembly with an SOP of July 2019 (was August 2018), facelift of July 2022 (was July 2021), and EOP of June 2026 (was July 2024)."

Wow, they are moving the MKZ back from the Hermosillo Plant back to Flat Rock, Michigan!? :eyebulge: Which means they are bringing the fusion back as well possibly?

Props to ford for bringing jobs back into america!! :ford::headbang:

I don't know about you guys, but for me, it's the sound of the V8 engine. It's a song I don't think I can live without. I understand it's the direction everyone is going with efficiency and the pressure from the government to constantly push gas mileage and reduce emissions, but nothing puts hair on your chest like a muscle car V8.

There is nothing more glorious sounding than V8 muscle, and to hear that sound turn into higher pitched V6's with turbos is not something I'm ready for. I do like the exotic sounding cars, but the deeper V8 rumble is still the best to me.

The Coyota 5.0 has a fantastic sound over the new LT-1 even in my opinion. I'm sure it makes you feel great when you hit that gas pedal.

For me, it's simply because I've never had a V8 in my life, and I'd like to have one to call my own before they're gone or simply too exclusive and, or expensive to ever consider again.

The spin machine over on Camaro6 is already going..implying the Gen 7 getting moved up is a result of the Camaro

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=442865

Yep...your sales turd of a car is the reason why Ford is bringing the next generation to market faster. GM can't even fully paint their cars (out of their "state of the art" lansing grand river plant)...but the Camaro forced a generation change.

With the brand new car on sale..the Generation 5 Camaro outsold the new car (Feb 15 to Feb 16)...but the Camaro is the reason the Mustang is moving up.

It must be a nice little happy land of circle jerking to be a Gen 6 Camaro owner these days..I wouldn't be part of that community if you paid me.

2017 Camaro 1LE because apparently God himself touched that car, gave Al O divine inspiration and capability, and like the Ark of the Covenant, any driver who touches it is assured victory.
