I had to get tires this summer when I picked up a nail in the sidewall on the Friday before July 4. Of course all they had in stock was all season tires and not summer tires. I ended up with the Michelin Pilot Sport all season - and DiscountTire said I had 30 days to try them out.
I hated them. On the highway the car wandered and steering felt vague. It was squirrely in the lane on the highway. On the city streets they were fine as long as I was under 50 mph, but anything over that they weren't comfortable to me.
My car is a 2024 GT with performance package and magneride.
Before the 30 day trial was up I ordered a set of Contental summer tires.
I have a set of wheels and snow tires and swap them in the fall and spring.
That. I just recently put on all seasons and was surprised how much it changed the steering feel. I went with Pirelli UHP all seasons but a guy i work with did the same thing and went with a set Conti DWS06 and he has the same experience. Might just be a characteristic trait of the UHP all seasons.... i can say the wet traction with the pirellis is outstanding.
