X-pipe VS H-pipe.

I order my resonator delete this week and i have not made my choice at 100%..

Are you leaning more towards one vs the other? Power difference is a non-factor, but the tone is indeed different where the X is a bit more raspy and H is a bit more deep.

The HH is indeed a bit deeper.. plus it's 3" (with stock connects that come with) so if you end up wanting a full Corsa Exhaust, you'd need just the axleback.

they are cheap enough you can swap without crying. IMO X sounds like ass.

Make SURE you have the shop cut things (specifically the H pipe) so you can go back to resonator. That way not only can you undo, but should you end up going thru multiple X/H pipe solutions you don't end up with big gaps where the various pipes differ on length.

Nobody agrees on their X/H pipe lengths - it's all over the map. So if you cut stock exhaust to drop-in vendor A, you're likely to be surprised if you want to try vendor B.

Also if Steeda, check to see they give you the GOOD clamps, not the thin-wall total garbage they were shipping a year or so back.

I guess to each their own!! I’ve had an X-Pipe on my S550 and now on my S650 and I must admit … I don’t hear Ass anywhere!! .
To me, the X-Pipe almost gives it that Voodoo FPC note!! I don’t want my Stang to sound like a damn Nopar or Less-S Camaro, no shade intended for those Owners.

Upfront... I'm not a pundit of overly-restrictive EPS rules and regulations. Some are good, some are extreme cases of bourgeois oligarchs exercising their control over us proletariats! (The emphasis' on Lenin is intended!)

The burble, rumble, rattle, pops, and bangs we (collectively) like to hear, are in fact running our ability to hear. Like it or not, the folks who (overly) modify their exhausts to achieve the right note of resonance, are guilty of noise pollution. They're also affecting their own health, and at least some attention should b paid to this fact.

I'll have to get a video clip of the Startup. Then he's warmed up, I'll switch to Track Mode, let you hear how that sounds and then go to Quiet Mode. I have the Resonator deleted, X-Pipe from Steeda (one of the few X-Pipe folks here) and Corsa Sport Valved Axle Back Exhaust. Honestly, I was very shocked at how much quieter it is with this Aftermarket exhaust. Sound isn't bad either to be truthful but I'll never use it much for other than leaving for work @ 4:00am or coming in from work @ 05:30am. Will post it tomorrow.
