I just bought new wheels. But before I get them installed, I have a few questions about our cars.

Wheel manufacturer says their wheels use conical seat lug bolts. Do our Mustangs use conical seat or ball seat bolts? If I need to buy conical seat lug bolts, are there different sizes and which would I need?

New wheels have a hub bore dia of 72.56 compared to 70.5 stock (from what I read). Are hub rings needed for such a small gap and do they make them in this size? Started looking online at local auto parts stores but I can't find them.

My local Ford dealer was no help when I spoke to them today and said I'll need to supply everything if I want them to install the new wheels. Thinking about going to a tire shop instead.

Thanks.

No idea if this will help you, this is what I bought when I bought my Project6gr wheels. They state they're conical.

I don't think you need the hub rings, at least, I didn't

I suggest that you reach out directly to the company that manufactured the wheels.

Update. Our cars do use the conical shaped lug nuts but I still had to purchase new ones with a smaller head diameter. Per online info and the tire shop, hub rings were needed to prevent vibration and they told me where to buy them.

Here's my Mustang with her new wheels. ESR RF2's 18x8.5 +30 offset.
