Really?? Here's new.

That is a 3D rendering. In real life they look worn out from day one. I have a set in my garage that are going back on the car in a couple of weeks. I took delivery of the car in November, took them off with 300 miles on them because of winter. If not beat on these tires should last between 8-12k miles. The downside is they are $2600 a set plus mounting and balancing which is why everyone wants a different option for daily driving.

You might get the tread to last but the compound will not. My Trofeos looked like OPs when I took them off my car late last year thinking I was saving them for this summer. I dumped them once I drove hard on my Pilot Sport 4Ss and it became apparent the Trofeos were no longer performant.

Sure. If you mount them to, say, a Fiat Punto, or you always drive the Mustang in valet mode.

Exactly this. The Trofeo’s suffer heat cycling death well before the tread is gone. These tires are fantastic when they’re brand new, but depending on where you live, what psi you run, how hard you use them - or how long, once they’ve gotten heat cycled enough times, they become wildly unpredictable.

Got the 4S tires on and sold the Pirellis for $350 USD ($500 CAD). The car drives so much better now. I wish I put these tires on from the day I bought the car new.

If your tires are under 2/32nds and 12k miles you can try and warranty a free set. That’s what I did. I had an inside man that helped but could get lucky.

I will need to do the same soon. Did you stick with the stock sizes?

Same size tires 305/315. The car actually feels faster since it has more traction now.
No doubt it actually IS faster, when the stockers get shagged, they are easily overwhelmed.
