There are several threads about Sync4 updates, particularly over-the-air (OTA) updates. Lots of talk about changes (ie MyColor) reflecting that an update has occurred. However, it seems like things reset or change but have nothing to do with updates. I’d appreciate it if you could post your Sync4 version so that we can compare to get a relative perspective on our software versions. Can pull this info on center screen at SETTINGS > GENERAL > ABOUT SYNC.
So, I’ll start:

2025 GT Premium Convertible
Built 20250313 (blend date)

Date checked: 20250716
Software Version: 24277
PRODUCT Revision: 1423

Date checked: 20250912
Software Version: 24277
PRODUCT Revision: 1423

I never checked this until July, four months after my car was BUILT, but I’m thinking this might be the software load from the factory. I have OTA updates turned on and it says there are no new updates for my car. I plan to check this periodically and will post any change.

The latest Sync software available for any Ford vehicle is 25094 (this may not have made its way to these cars yet; it may be released only for the F150s, Lightnings and Mach E for now). The way you decode the Sync version in terms of release date is the first two numbers of the Sync version is the year it was released and the last three are the day of the year. In your case, Sync 24277 was released on the 277th day of 2024.

I have been keeping track of the OTA's sent to these vehicles here:

Only an update to the APIM module has a chance to change the Sync version, but not all APIM updates will install new OS where the Sync version will change.

Thanks for these insights.

Many other updates will not change the sync version, so you can't use the version number as evidence of an OTA update
