1300 miles and someone is willing to take a bath on the depreciation is a sign there is something going on with the car and they traded it in to get out from under it.

I'm not taking the risk, too many nice cars, especially 2024's that have more features out there
Yes how many time have I heard service departments say all good problem solved
Dealer service departments cant be trusted
Trading a car with 1300 miles is a giant red flag Im sure there are exceptions but few and far between
You know the original owner took a huge hit Im betting 8 to 10 K

PS also note the driveshaft was done at 1100 miles, it has 1300 on it now, someone got the car back and wasn't happy.

first Servicing dealer was in PA

recall done at a dealer 60 miles away from the first one....

They were chasing a vibration and changing parts out.

Go drive the car. You'll know if it's fixed. Plus you get the same factory warranty (the balance of the 3 years from the time of the original purchase).

If there's no noise or vibration, I'm not sure what the issue would be.

$3500 is a nice hunk of change, but as you noted, you can get a better interest rate on a new car which would probably make up most of that over time.

However, if it were me, I'd drive the used one to see if I could feel or notice any vibration (there is a good chance that they fixed it) and if not, try to negotiate a better deal.

Some people (I'm guilty of this) flip cars quickly for a variety of reasons, none of which have to deal with a defect in the car. Some get discouraged when there's a problem, even if it got fixed. Some folks make spur-of-the-moment decisions they come to regret later when the bill becomes due.
Well if you drive it and they didn't fix it there's something else going on I would not chase the problem. But if you drive it and you have no noise or vibration at 7 or 80 miles an hour then there is no issue.

I don't about the Carfax thing.. it's not like it was in a crash. We're talking service work. $3500 is a nice chunk

I'd drive it, if it doesn't vibrate all is well. If it does still vibrate, either walk away or offer them $10k less.
When I bought my first car it had no clutch. A quick inspection and 5 minutes welding had the clutch working. I had a drivable POS for $40.

Wow, they actually confirmed they found something and changed it and seemed to have confirmed it was gone. But since they didn’t at first, did they test it fully after? Will never know. You could call that dealerā€˜s service department and see if they remember the car.

For me, I would be continually listening/feeling for the noise/vibration; would take the enjoyment out.
