I updated mine via the App Store (iPhone) to v5.0.0 and I don't see any difference? The UI is the same as are the options as far as I can tell. Tried logging out and in as well as phone restart and no luck. Oh well..

I was gonna comment earlier on this when the update came out but wasn’t sure if it warranted a thread. But it’s different and now you can Remote Rev your Stang!! I think that’s a pretty cool feature. Still no Dark Mode for it yet but overall, I was already happy with it.

i cant find the option to remote rev, i do have the new version of the app, at least the UI is fully different than a month ago. Start is now a slider instead of a hold for me.

Ford has deleted several features, one of which is you can no longer add service records.

Warranty information (see ESP) which used to be listed, highlighted in a post above: gone.

@Ford Motor Company , from my perspective, loss of these and other features renders the app all but worthless. I'll be removing it, with the hopes attributes countless people have come to use and appreciate, return.

When they were delivering my car a few weeks ago, the guy saw that I had updated and immediately said " you don't want that, can I switch you back to the old version ?"

With a manual, I can't/don't/wouldn't even if I could remote start or throttle blip .

Yeah, all we get is a door lock and tire pressure, if you can find it. Gone are any user added documentation.

I don't use the app to look up or add service records, nor check my warranty date. I do that on the 'Vehicle Dashboard' on the Ford.com web site. All of that functionality is still there.

When I do use the app, it's to start the vehicle, lock or unlock the doors, and check the range (to see if I have to get gas soon). I also check tire pressures and oil life remaining, both of which are still present.

So for what I use it for, it is not worthless.

With this update, you no longer have to hold the Lock and Unlock buttons. To remove rev, you just touch Unlock and as it sends the signal and completes (check mark) you quickly touch Lock. Works the same as Physical Keyfob where on the first pass, you get the slight Rev. On the second pass you get the Angry Rev!! Lol. And yes, to Remote start you just slide the tab.

I tried that yesterday, hoping I could continue. But the functionality at the Ford site, for me anyway, is now gone.

When Members were first commenting on the app, I couldn't log into anything, even though I'd been consistently using it before. After going to the Ford site, I unlocked the account and confirmed my password.

The first bit I can understand. Sometimes when rolling out a new app, vendors will confirm everyone's account and who they are.

I can access either app or web site now and my previous entries still exist. But certain functions, like adding new records, or my ESP warranty information, are not available. I've also noticed were not experiencing the same, consistent appearance; this could be part of the upgrade process, as different groups are updated at different times.

Some early AM Googling found threads going back to 2021, detailing how Ford would remove and then re-introduce features. I'm hoping they bring it back. If not, that's what the log book and photos are for.

I've never owned a lamp, desk or otherwise, that said, "Slid to turn on lamp" on it, either.

It sucks. I can't even check my tire pressures or oil life monitor anymore. Unless my lack of tech ability is not allowing me to access these features. Why do they do this , when it works?
