Why did they have to make the turn signal "CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK" so dang loud and annoying? I'm a woman with a noise issue called MISOPHONIA. Basically loud repetitive noises make me want to run around screaming while pulling out my hair. I've never done that but the thought has crossed a many a time. Tonight was 1 of those times and I was only in the car for 20 min max. I looked everywhere in the car, owners manuel, and I asked Gemini but they all basically said, "Grow Up". Jk! Apparently its part of the programming and can't be changed. I have been able to in my previous cars though. So I'm just gonna have to make sure I have my music turned up loud enough that all the snobs complain when I go past them at the speed of light so I can't hear the turn signal noise.

Wait? Does anybody even know what the speed of light even is???

The turn signal makes a noise? I was just the other day testing (had to turn down the stereo) just to make sure. I couldn’t hear it but el wifeo sure could. No offense just irony.

My husband was driving and had the audio turn off cause we were chatting about stuff. It was so so very loud and I hated it immediately. My husband didnt notice it until I pointed it out and now it bothers him more cause he drives the car way more than I do. Maybe your wife also deals with Misophonia!?

I’m not jumping in that puddle.

um, how long do you signal? Or you guys parking with flashers on 🤣, sorry couldn’t resist. It does do the three flash thing, tilt up/down but release before lock and it will only blink three times.

Sorry to hear about your affliction. No pun intended. Maybe you should buy a BMW, then you won't have to use your turn signals. 😉 LOL

Perhaps you could post a query in the Forscan section to see if this is something that can be changed?

My beautiful wife suffers from something similar but when she knows what's making the sound, she's better able to cope with it. The Mustang's horsey gallop sound is distinctive and I think because it's not a regular tick-tock but is a bit offbeat, she hears it more - but it might be louder in the passenger seat. I hadn't noticed either way until she said something, so I'll try not to use the indicator when stationary unless I'm next to move. It doesn't fix it for you, sorry.

One other thing is that when the engine isn't running, it sounds (being British) bloody loud, in fact everything seems pretty loud when the engine is off, which is a weirdness I only suffer from in electric vehicles or stuff that turns the engine off.

Yes, 186,282 miles/second. :)

In all honesty, I hadn't noticed them to be too loud, and my wife hasn't complained either.

You made me go out to the garage to make sure mine actually clicked. It does, but it is barely noticeable. Nonetheless, I can see where some folks might consider it loud or at least annoying.

THIS^^ is your problem!
Headers without cats should mute the signal clicker sufficiently to alleviate the issue.

the turn signal is absolutely normal. it's mandatory to have it there.
Too bad we can't convince people to use them

The steering wheel assembly blocks me seeing the flashing turn signal, so I don't mind the louder noise

Don't buy a Tahoe, my wife has one and the turn signal sound really bugs in that car.

It sounds like your car's indicator sound might be louder than it's supposed to be. I'd reach out to couple dealers and see if they can lower the volume for you, if that's possible.

Enjoy traveling at the speed of light (definitely the speed limit of course) in the meantime.

Thought of buying a BMW? Apparently they don't have indicators.
