Here the latest WW ship schedule to Pt Kembla for those interested. I'm hoping mine is on the Tosca given my ETA to the dealer is 21/12 - but no word on a vessel name as of last Fri which is concerning.

Tosca left Baltimore last night on its way down under.

My Vista status (as of this morning) still has an ETA to the dealer of 22/12 but no vessel name.

I'm hoping it just means there's a few days lag between loading the ship and updating Vista.

Anyone know if this is likely or can advise if I've literally missed the boat.

Depends on where you are, it took about 10 days for it to arrive at my regional dealer. Some have had cars arrive in a couple of days.

My car has today arrived at Port Kembla. What was the average delivery time that you all experienced from the ship docking to arrival at your dealers?
13 days, metro Brisbane, between docking and me driving it away.

Thanks guys! Just trying to get all my ducks in a row.
The dealership is about 7km away from the RORO terminal.

Just got an update from Dealer.

No Vessel and ETA has now pushed out by 5 weeks to 28/1/25 🤬

I am so effing sick of this, it's been sitting on the dock since 30th Sep and isn't on the recall list.

• First went into dealer 3rd week September 2022 to get my name on the wait list with two dealers.
This was one week after the Sep 14 reveal, where I was watching the reveal live in my Chicago hotel room, and went into the dealer as soon as I got back!
Returned to both dealers in 3rd week Oct 2022 after being away again to reconfirm my desire to purchase and whether a deposit was required then or not.

• Delivered 2 years and 3 weeks later, 2nd week October 2024.

Now that it's an established model, wait times should return to ~12 months like they were with the S550. There probably isn't a need to register with multiple dealers, but I would ask around and get a fair dinkum estimate and not be told something you might want to hear.

Things can and will change - adopt the brace position for that!
This whole ordering and delivery process for early adopters was nothing short of woeful.
Having your order spec locked in even before the price is announced.

On reflection, when I was taking an Uber to the dealer to take delivery, I wasn't even that excited about it, because of the delay after delay and the disappointment that came with it.
It was a day or two later that reality came knocking and it was actually in my garage.

Man, that sucks big time Deano, especially because of the passion you display for it.
Sorry to hear this.

In my darkest moments whilst waiting I was regularly watching the Throttle House review and the Jason Cammisa Icons video over and over, often with a tear in my eye. Unfortunately that made the wait worse, so I do not recommend this self inflicted pain at all. :frown:

Hang in there... find a distraction, not related to cars at all.

My story is a long one, but I'll try and keep it short.

I ordered an Atlas blue S550 Mustang GT, auto with Magneride on 17 January 2022. After waiting for this car for months, it ended up never being built because they stopped S550 production in preparation for the S650's.

The day after the reveal of the S650 which I watched live via Youtube, I went into the dealer and ordered two cars. They didnt have prices yet, so I ordered a S650 GT and Dark Horse, both with "subject to pricing" in the contracts. This was on 16 September 2022.
By 27 October 2023, I was able to get pricing locked in and I decided to proceed with the Dark Horse order, and cancelled the S650 GT order.
My Dark Horse was built and left the factory (Assembly offline, Gate release) on 27 June 2024.
The car arrived at Baltimore (compound entry) on 11 July 2024.
On 11 September 2024, I had notification from Ford that my car had shipped. It was on the Tysla, and had left Baltimore for Australia. The Tysla docked in Fremantle on 4 November 2024.
My car showed up at the dealer on 12 November 2024.
Unfortunately, I cant take delivery yet seeing my car is caught up in the 24C35 recall which has caused a delivery halt until Ford can fix the car with a software update. I hope and pray this happens sooner than the generic Q1 2025 ETA Ford has given me.

I hope that helps someone work out how long theirs might take to progress between stages. I'm sure newer orders will progress a little faster than mine did. As you can see, I'm probably the most patient but cursed Mustang fan on the planet.

WOW!

I guess that means my car will be at the dealership for long too.. I am on the Tysla as well.. which still hasn't docked at Port Melbourne (I am in Syd so Port Kembla is where I needs it to be).

Hopefully by the time the car gets to the dealership in Parramatte, they have already worked out the issues.

Fingers and Toes crossed it will be before the end of the month as software upgrades and tests usually take half a day or so.

Hopefully not long for you now. I assume you have your VIN already?

If so, plug it in here https://www.ford.com.au/owners/vehicle-support/recall-and-service-action-lookup/

You can see if your car is also affected by the recall or not. Hopefully you are spared that misery.

Have you been to the dealer to at least give the car a hug? 🤗

I havent, but I will go today in about an hour or so to have a look. Just gave myself some time to calm down about the whole recall thing. I didnt want to be harsh or rude to the dealer seeing it isn't really their fault. Today I feel that I can think about the situation a bit more clearly and I'll probably be a bit more reasonable about it.
It is what it is, and I just need to make it through this last hurdle. I felt so deflated that I didn't even want to see the car before. The old excitement is coming back slowly and I hope seeing the car will make me fall in love all over again.
