My wife always says that about bright colored cars. Grabber blue is a color that pops by itself, so I doubt stripes would make a difference. Personally, I think the "cop magnet" concept is overrated.

Possibly true. We did not target particular brands or models of cars. Boi Racer cars did get attention, and exotics were always speeding.
But personalised plates have a downside, a phrase is much easier to remember than three digits and three letters. Excpet for one of the first plates issued here - 11l1l1l. Completely fooled the early, lower res, speed cams.

Yeah, I've always kept that in mind when I have thought about getting personalized plates. I did once ask if NCC1701 was taken. Of course, it was.
