My 24 vert is black on black on black. I don’t enjoy being the flashiest car on the highway. Stripes look crazy good, but I think that they are also a popo magnet.
Thinking about Silver stripes on mine to match my rims...

Yeah, that's the downside to having a very distinctive-looking car. Even someone who wouldn't know the difference between a Porsche 911 and a Pontiac Firebird can call the police and say, "I saw a car between Dilworth and Glyndon that must have been going 25 mph over the speed limit! I don't know what kind of car it was, but it was silver with big red stripes and red wheels."

My wife always says that about bright colored cars. Grabber blue is a color that pops by itself, so I doubt stripes would make a difference. Personally, I think the "cop magnet" concept is overrated.

I had a bright red Challenger Scat Pack 392. I often had cops stay glued to my rear bumper for miles hoping I would make a mistake while they ran my plate number. Mustang GT in Grabber Blue never happens....

Its weird because Grabber Blue isn't at all subtle. But I swear cops just aren't interested.

Yeah! That color will do it! I had a Toyota Supra that got me pulled over three times on a single trip coming back from Canada! Your car looks great!

Red cars can look great but they do they attract LE. Always best to fly under radar. I was stopped in two-way traffic yesterday. CHP opposing me. He casually glanced over but I think he was admiring the car. The exhaust on these cars definitely attracts attention.

I like stripes if they are done tastefully. I don't think I'd like them on Grabber Blue. I probably go white if I was going to do stripes. Classic appeal.

I rather like those RTR stripes, unique and subtle. My car isn't an RTR so of course I could never do that.
Why? It's not like you are putting a super snake emblem on a non-Cobra car! I mentioned earlier that I have a lot of pics of Mustangs with stripes, and some other brands. The bottom line is that I will install what I perceive as the best-looking option for my car, and hope I'm happy! I don't think it should matter where the stripes originated! Isn't the theory behind modifications to improve either the performance or appearance of your ride? Make it look beautiful to you! Glenn

Interesting comment. Those stripes are from Anchor Room and I wasnt trying to pass the car off as an RTR. Its just a similar graphic. Its not like im slapping Shelby Cobra bages on or something. Lol

RZ, Below is the post I thought I was responding to, not you:

I kind of like those stripes myself and am sure it will be a contender. I have so many pics that I've decided I will have to start deleting the ones I don't like because it is really confusing. My old man brain starts convulsing after a while! Glenn

Ah. I had to reread your original post...

... im trying to decide if I want to get the same RTR style hood stripes I had,
I overlooked the "style".

In the words of Emily Litella: never mind.
