Anyone know if the a329 Viofo goes into park mode when plugged into the usb by rear view mirror, or if it has to be hardwired?

This guy is absolutely painful to listen to, but it demonstrates that cheap dash cams aren't worth wasting your time or money with.

Interestingly, the Viofo A119 V3 he uses to demonstrate is obsolete in that it utilizes a Starvis sensor and not the latest generation Starvis 2 sensor.

The dash cams he is looking at here really are the bottom of the barrel.

So I decided to install the FITCAM into my DH premium. It is an easy 2 hours of work as the extraction tool that come with the product to remove the cover is not very useful. Also removing the wired plug from the rain sensor requires jewel size screwdriver to get the plug out from holding to its locking tab. The four little yellow plastic clips are not easy to remove and transfer from the original cover to the FITCAM cover. The custom look and finish with no cables is great and worth the product purchase. Few pictures of installation attached for others that may want to use this product on the their S650 Mustang.

first time i have heard someone say something negative about Project Farm. he usually does tool reviews (ratcheting wrenches, jack stands, impact adapters, etc), so the dash cam video was definitely out of left field. about the price range, most people are not going to want to spend a ton of money on a dash cam; so i would say that his choices, while cheap, are likely the ones most people will go for.

also, i dont know if i can recommend the Viofo A229 Pro anymore. in the year i had it, it apparently ruined the write speed of two micro sd cards. not the cheap ones, the nice Samsung Pro ones. it was complaining about "card slow" after 6 months and restarting it had a 50/50 chance of making it cooperate, because if it says "card slow", it isnt recording anything at all. the actual camera is fine, and the app isnt great but could definitely be worse

i just installed the Redtiger F77 V2 and i will be making a thread on that, but of the dash cams i have used, Blackvue is still the best

Great to hear, and thanks for the pictures. This is the one I'll be getting as well.
Probably will have to disable the Gforce/crash detection with the subs I plan on putting in the vehicle. Car wash blowers like to set off the one in my truck.
