Preface: I have the B&O system. So far I’ve just swapped the sub for a 10” Kicker CompC DVC. Definitely an upgrade.
My question is exactly how it says in the title. What if the 6.75” component speakers on the rear package tray were swapped for 6.75” woofers? Like the lower door woofers. At the same time all of the other speakers and tweeters would be swapped out for high quality ones as well as adding kilmat lining everywhere. It seems like the most noticeable treble comes from the center dash speaker and the upper doors. The most noticeable bass is coming from the trunk and the lower door woofers. Case in point the bass gets quite a bit better with half of the rear seat at least flipped partially forward. I’m thinking that maybe putting woofers in the package tray would get some more bass thump up front without losing all of the clarity in the treble, or would it? Of course there’s the option of getting a standalone amp for the sub which would definitely work and I will probably do as well, but I’m still curious about this. Thanks guys
