My 2024 GT Convertible has an irritating sound, very much like a subwoofer booming, at speeds up to 60 mph. It's not noticeable when the top is down, or when cruising above 70 mph. Anybody out there expiring this with their GT? I've removed the subwoofer, but no change.

I have had this same issue. Definitely sounds like it’s coming out of the rear. Just got the car back from the dealer for other issues so haven’t been able to drive it the past couple of weeks. I didn’t notice it when I drove it home and don’t think it’s consistent.

Is yours a GT convertible?

Dealer has made 2 attempts to fix, both were unsuccessful. They are working with the Ford Hotline, and starting to waffle, " might be a characteristic of the car" etc. That's nonsense. If it’s not fixed soon, I'm going to pursue a buy back under Missouri Lemon Law.

Once you notice it, it’s annoying. I can’t really time how long it happens between the noise. I did have the radio off and also tried to put the active exhaust into different settings and still noticed it when I was trying to troubleshoot myself last time.

I didn’t notice it coming back from the store but I did notice it on the way there. I don’t think I can consistently replicate the issue.

Hi there! Go ahead and send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer, and I’ll look into this noise concern.

Did you ever find out what the issue was? I’m planning to drop my car off at the end of the season for the paint and seal issues, was going to bring this up as well. I have a feeling they will come back with unable to reproduce the problem.

Not resolved, but not sure it's still there since we almost always have the top down this time of year. Was supposed to be contacted by someone from the Ford Passenger Vehicle Team weeks ago, and have a case number assigned, but no contact to date. The dealer service department has acknowledged the problem, so the "cannot duplicate" approach won't work in my case. I'll post an update when the next event happens.

@Illini4 - Did you ever get any updates or fixes for the weird noise? I’m dragging taking in my car, waiting for the weather to start getting cold since it’s too nice out right now to lose the car for a couple of weeks.

Ford Passenger Team was supposed to contact me, but it's been more than two months and no contact. I haven't pushed this because we have had the top down most if the time and there's no problem there. I have had it up briefly a couple times and it's not as bad as it was - almost tolerable. Like you, I plan to wait until it gets too cool for top down and get after it then if necessary.

I wonder if this is active noise cancellation ( gone wrong, because normally it’s unobtrusive )
