Question about fitment. I have the security system that locks the center console; does this interfere with the locking mechanism?
I also added the trunk envelope net, a folding ABS box from Costco, a trunk mat, and silicone inserts for the base of the cup holders; it makes cleanup a breeze.
Great ideas here!

Don't all the mustangs lock the console automatically when the cars lock?

No. I believe that is part of the security package that came with the 401A or separately on '26s. Not sure if it was avaliable separately on '25-'26.

One of the best things about the mustang is that it really is a great daily driver. Storage, especially the trunk, is one of the reasons. It has a very large trunk and this is especially true for the convertible. Here are some storage hacks i have done and been using for over a year. The products seem to be great quality as well. I have included amazon affiliate links if you want to pick them up. Here is a video showing all this and how those bins work....

1-Trunk Liner

This is a really nice custom fit liner. just as good as OEM but way less money. They make 2 versions, one with a sub and one without. It has a nice texture to it that helps keep things from sliding and NO nasty smell.

2-Side Storage Cargo Nets
These are great for utilizing the sides of the trunk. Keeps things tucked in and not rolling around. They just Velcro right to the fuzzy trunk liner..no need to use the adhesive strips. (see the video)

3-Rear Cargo Net - This is a nice net...just as good as OEM but way cheaper. There are build in clips on the wall of the trunk and this just stretches from clip to clip. Easily hold super market bags and what ever else you dont want rolling around.

4-Storage Bins

The convertible has a compartment for the top to fold into...the trunk has tons of space under that but it is hard to reach and if you put stuff in there it slides out. So i found these two bins that slide in there and allow me to store all kinds of stuff. I put two rubber feet under each one and they stay in place really well as they are kind of wedged in there.

5-Extra Trunk Lights

On the convertible there is only one light on the side...it is often covered and then the trunk is dark at night. I added two lights on the top of the trunk and wired them to the side light using the little insulation displacement crimp on splices. Ran the wires under the trunk liner and it works great...see the video.

Wire Taps (please only use 3m products...they are the best).. https://amzn.to/4p7TFTj #AD

6-Interior Center Console Storage

The center console is a big vat and usually the thing you want is always at the bottom. This plastic tray is pretty nice as it still allows access to the bottom section but provides a way to organize the top.

7-Seat gap filler...

Did you ever drop your phone down the side of the seat...what a pain. My wife gave me these as a gift...you press them in along the side of the seat and around the seat belt latch and they slide forward and back with the seat and close the hole. Super great as i am always dropping stuff down there...

Well these are some time proven hacks to make the most of your mustang! Hope they work for you. Feel free to reach out with any questions. The links are affiliate links and i make a small profit off them if you purchase with them. The video has more info.. Thanks all.
Look's very nice. Just one question how often do you use the kinetic rope?
