On our website, we advise the following:

Note: S650 Models require the optional spacer kit to ensure jacking rails are level.

I love Steeda gear but no way would I install these on my 2024 GT convertible. I just don't like how the "fix" leaves matters. For the time being I much prefer to use the OEM jack points.

And how does one go about getting a spacer kit when they purchased the jacking rails before the spacers were available?

So wait. I was sold these without the option for any spacer kit. Is that why they don't sit flush?

@erocker.....from what I have seen - yes.....and even if you have the spacers (4 per side?) you now have four small contact points instead of a full length bar to body contact? If so, IMO Steeda needs to re-tool this jack bar for convertibles. I'm sure they can do that if there's enough demand.

Why couldn't they do that if there isn't enough demand? That's called doing it right. Or just don't sell the to 'vert owners.

Are the spacers only needed for verts, or are coupes affected as well?

As Sergio mentioned earlier on:

You don’t actually need the spacer for installation.

Our jacking rail fits the S650 perfectly. On the S650, you’ll notice the front of the rail extends about 1/8" past the pinch point, while the rear sits flush—this difference is due to the frame being slightly different from the S550.

If you use the 555 5213 spacer, it adjusts the fit so that the rear of the rail protrudes the same amount as the front.

Running the full-length rail on an S650 without the spacer gives you a setup that’s a blend between the full-length and low-profile versions.

@Steeda-Sergio can help with further clarification.

Best,

TJ

Hey TJ, think you can help me directly getting the spacer kit? Been waiting for the invoice to get these ordered and fix the uneven issue but nothing.
Thank you for the info.

@Frogdog1 .....agreed.....and if my memory serves me correctly when the jack rails first came out it stated they were not for convertibles. Some guys messed-around with the oem stabilizing bars that run under all convertibles from the rear plate under the tire well to the front sides to make jack rails fit but IMO that was not a good idea. I believe the spacers are a response to that but still, IMO, I would not want the use that modification.

The coupes get 2 spacers, one on each side, in the rear for the S650.

The Vert has a factory brace in the way, so we use 4 spacers, 2 on each side, for them.

When you use the factory pinch welds with jack stands, you’re only supporting the car on a single small contact point at each location. Our kit engages the full length of the jacking rail, maintaining complete support while incorporating two rear spacers for proper fitment.

Let us know if we can help assist further.

We agree @MAT1955 . Sounds like there can be a better solution. If it were offered for sale, I might be a customer.
