And red cars are twice as likely to get pulled over. Ask my BIL. He has three red Mustangs. Most cops are professionals and are more concerned with keeping people safe on the road. And they are human. As long as you don't create or make a bad day worse, you stand a chance of reprieve. Give them a hard time, and they will enforce the law accordingly.
I have a 2003 S2000 in New Formula Red. I have never been pulled over, even here in CA (although I have never driven it in Texas). A red car may attract the eye more, but police are looking for the jackrabbit in the pack-if you aren't the fastest car on the road or the guy making unsafe lane changes when someone else is doing so, you're not more likely to get pulled over merely due to car color.

Hi there - drove from Denver CO to Austin TX last week and as soon as I entered Texas got pulled over by State Troopers twice for no reason within an hour and got warnings saying I changed lanes without using turn signal, my license plate was covered more than 50% and I was speeding little (WTH🤷🏻‍♂️) I wasn’t as I was on 70 with speed limit of 75. Anyone have similar experience?
When they ask me "do you know why I pulled you over?" I say cause you know I have a kilo of coke in my console? Then when they give me that look I say now that speeding ticket don't sound so bad does it!

Yes, I've had my share of speeding tickets.............That said I take the approach of complete respect and don't play any games with the LEO. They have a job to do and to me, it's that simple. The last few years, have been pulled over several times. With one exception, each time I was wrong. In the end, the LEO was polite and respectful, and I was issued a warning. The last time, it was a trooper who actually followed me into a Home Depot parking lot (where I was going) and just wanted to look at my RS3 Roush Mustang. He was a car enthusiast himself :)

Almost anyone who has a Colorado license plate on your car when going out of state means you’re either a drug dealer or smoke marijuana or you have marijuana in your car. It’s what they assume.
It is what it is.
