On my 24 GT not sure if anyone has noticed the sort of dead spot, flat spot, lag time - in the throttle upon acceleration...? Having come from a 2022 MACH 1 I never noticed that until I bought this 24. I'm guessing Ford did some BS for the EPA regarding this but to me it was very noticeable when I test drove a 2024.

Anyway, never having had a throttle body controller (never needed one) had no idea what to expect. Well let me tell you - What a night and day difference woke up the throttle 100%. Other than needing to be GUMBY to contort myself under the steering wheel and dash it was a snap to install, plug and play, and download the app if you want to also have the ability to control the settings with your phone.

I've got a pedal commander, and it definitely wakes the throttle up. Makes the gas gauge drop a lot faster too 😃

I’m guessing that was the driving force behind throttling back the throttle 🤣

Have you tried sport mode? :like:

Gen 2 Raptors had a ‘rebadged’ normal mode, that behaves eerily similar to the peasant F150 ‘eco’ mode. it is lazy AF. sport and others except for ‘weather’ mode are much more like old school ‘1 to 1’ throttle.

It’s not surprising for normal to be set to save fuel. Not that I particularly like it, but that’s what it is and a lot of current vehicles are like this. What I’ve observed with my Raptor and the pedal commander is that the ‘happy medium’ setting for normal affects the throttle activation ratio in all modes, not just normal. So, if I bring the normal mode to an approximate 1 to 1 input to response, sport mode is a bit touchy, and Mud/sand or Baja are very, very steep, basically WFO at about half throttle but there is only a fraction of an inch of minimal response and the THROTTLE.

I still have the pedal commander on my Rap but it’s been in bypass mode for about 15 months now, deferring to sport mode. My Rap is a ’17, but newer model Rap owners were reporting some DTC issues with pedal commander but I never had any.

My only concern would be the effect on drive modes other than normal and for normal, all it’s doing is increasing throttle input signal, it is not doing anything with the shift strategy, so the A10’s will still jump into gears sooner than expected, and may be a bit inarticulate with the throttle map.

I've tried them all and on the Mustang, I usually run it in City +4 or Sport +1. I've gone higher but is a little too much for me, especially with a 6 spd. I'll dial it up from time to time, for fun though.

I've got pedal commander on all my vehicles. Put it on my girlfriends Bronco and took it for a test drive after I bought the Ford Performance tune and Pedal Commander at Sport +, +2. It was a blast! Forgot to put it back to City mode when I got back. Next morning, she called me as she was taking her kid to school wanting to know what the hell I had done to her Bronco. Said she almost ran over some kids crossing the street :cwl:

I had the Soler on my 2019 EcoBoost, and removed it when I got the 2024. I ended up selling it because I didn't see anything that said it was compatible with the 2024 - but I really haven't noticed a dead spot yet either.

Yes - in all Ford modes it has a lagged response. until I installed this Soler unit. Honestly it’s too soon for me to give a very detailed response on the performance except to say - what I said. I have an A10 and didn’t notice any shifting issues as in clunking or faster than normal shifting that all seemed the same so far. (I have no interest monetarily in this company and have paid full price for the product - unlike YouTube influencers I don't get my shit for free - 🤣🤣🤣)

If I'm understanding, at least I'm not absolutely crazy. I feel all the time (regardless of track mode or sport mode) a slight bog or lag in like 3rd or 4th at start of the gear on my A10. Tried to change with spirited driving to get computer to learn, but it's still there.

Ok so I have my Soler set on sport 6 and it’s a rocket -,off a stop to go - a night and day difference from stock and typically I’m in Ford Sport or Track when driving, and the Soler is in Sport 6 …

Do what you want, obviously, however anyone that hasn’t noticed a LAG in throttle response on a stock 24 probably didn’t have or has not had earlier Mustangs. Having had the following: a 2018 GT, a 2019 GT, a 2020 Shelby 350, a 2021 Shelby 500, a 2021 Mach1 and a 2022 Mach1 for reference. Now setting aside the GT500 and the 2019GT cause they were both SC’d the 19 was Roush’d - the throttle response on all of those cars in stock form were crisp and immediate. Until - the 2024 🙄

I agree…very lazy throttle response stock. So bad that it makes the car feel sluggish as in my brain still hasn’t gotten used to it compared to my tuned 2019 GT, lol.

I know this is an older thread but how goes it for the folks that have installed? I am sitting with one in my cart right now after reviewing Youtube's on it, seems like it will do what I'm looking for in the car.
Any concerns with straining the engine and/or transmission with the sudden throttle tip-in? I know this motor and transmission (auto on mine) can handle a lot of power (just based on forced induction that's available)... Just asking the questions before I spring for it.
