Here’s a good write up on that 2018 test. The 11.83 was done in +200 DA From my research it appears that the 2018 mustangs are just plain quicker than the later models including later s550s specifically 2020+ probably something in the programming.

Ive heard there is more torque modulation (reduction) in the newer 2020+ stock tunes in low gears. A tune fixes this.......so hopefully we get tuning at some point.

yes I know before anyone says that is technically not showroom Stock I'm aware of that. But a minor exhaust upgrade and some E85 blend on a car not tuned for it on stock continentals without the performance pack runs 11's over and over again I'm just not ready to say the S650 is slower when more people are testing then the true numbers will show that imo

that’s an 11.7 maybe 11.6 pass if he actually got out of the hole… A LOT of ET being lost there.

that’s an 11.7 maybe 11.6 pass if he actually got out of the hole… A LOT of ET being lost there.
It seems like the bottleneck on most of these runs is the 60ft. Maybe some validity to the torque management theory

see this is where I have trouble believing that "bone stock" 2018 GT's can hit 11.8's. the LMR car in this video needed lowering springs, resonator delete, Mikey Thomson drag radials and a rear and passanger seat delete to hit 11.88. makes you wonder how "Bone Stock" S550's can hit the same number from off the showroom floor and would contribute to people saying the S650 is slower.
People also say it’s good to clip coupons because it can save you money.

Just saw this in the Fbook group 11.6s @120 stock… NO gen 3 did that.

That is impressive for sure, the manual shifting to third is interesting. I wonder if tuners will be able to make it hold the gear longer instead of short shifting.

Definitely that’s the key, the short shifting in drag mode is a problem

This is me. Kooks headers, C&L 18+ non active exhaust, Qa1 carbon driveshaft, removed carbon traps and k&n filters, BMR k-member, Steeda suspension with some Kelltrac stuff mixed in, and Nitto drag radials. All else is stock and full weight on pump 93.

The stock transmission shift points really leave a lot to be desired, these cars would all be 11.5s bone stock if the thing would actually shift 7500-7700

feels like some shifts are barely above 6k, i should be able to go through the traps N/A in 5th… not 7th.
I noticed that today after 3 or 4 WOT runs my PP auto shifted at 400 rpm below redline! It did this in sport and track. I didn't try any other modes.

After 6k miles I’ve definitely noticed the car has felt faster than when brand new. Haven’t had a chance to test yet but will try to do so if I have the opportunity.
