Interesting i had a look around that dealer this morning and it wasn't there (other car was in for service next door) maybe it was in the workshop or something. They had a 74 plate DH and a new GT both auto's

My dealer has been in touch and ford have put them in a tricky situation.

They are currently offering 0% Apr on short Mustang deals and they have 4 cars including that Adriatic blue that they can't sell until Jan / Feb time on current estimates!
And then they have a new batch of cars arriving in march which haven't been built yet but if I get in quick they can spec one of them for me.

With the change in apr and how much my car is in the black I could swap my car for less per month and effectively extend the term by 18 months. (I have 14m left, new deal would be 26 months long starting in 6-8 months time)

I assume you mean the Adriatic Blue car is a 'demonstrator' so is the reason they cannot sell it?

EDIT: just noticed you probably mean the wiper recall?

Certainly some good deals at present.

We don't have MY27 details yet but should get a better idea very soon from the US

Yup it's the wiper recall, has put a 'stop-sale' on all new mustangs with a fix estimated in Jan/Feb and next batch of cars due in March, they are likely to be MY26's
I'm waiting to hear back when the march batch is due to be built.

They are eager for my car and have offered a very favourable trade in value for it to the point i can switch to a new car and pay less /month due to the 0% apr deal

Model year 2026 cars (identifiable by the T at the 10th digit in the VIN, only works with cars built in the US) are already in Europe, I bought one earlier this year. It also does not show a recall on the Ford website for my VIN.

It depends on when yours was built, there is a production date that they were then fixed from factory. But since cars fresh off the boat in the uk are effected they may not have filtered through yet. Shipping to europe takes a long time.

MY26's are effected by the issue.

Ford europe tends to not post recalls until they are ready to apply the fix but they will do stop-sales. I think it's partly because if a vehicle visits a workshop with an open safety recall they have to keep hold of it but if they don't have a fix they don't want to keep it for an extended period of time.

We thought we escaped the water ingress recall for a while but nope, we got it when they were ready to fix it. I waited to get mine done but was still the second to be done at my dealer

Model year 26 cars have only just arrived here. RHD market. We get batches built and sent to the UK twice a year, maybe three times?

You like me are in the UK not Europe, but it does also depend on the severity of the recall and it's safety category.
If the wiper falls under a stop drive recall then more significant action is taken.
A standard safety recall you must make an informed decision and future dealer resale is not possible.

If it has an S in the recall it is for 'safety' - all treated the same. Stop drive is an additional level on top but doesn't apply here.
