So I’m curious as to why Ford doesn’t do the Performance Pack GT’s in convertible but Shelby can make it possible but for more money?? I’m not even sure if the PP GT’s, Shelby 350, 350R or 500’s come with a Sunroof. Thinking being not rigid enough for the power consumption (body flexing)is the reason not?
Shelby does say in their video that a lot of thongs done to the Super Snake were things Ford engineers wanted to do but couldn't get to work on a large scale production/cost effective way.

And still sell for $75K, too, right? 😆
GT + whipple + DH wheels and tires
Sounds like a reasonable performance variant.

DH in my opinion is not different enough to justify the price tag.

In my opinion, the price difference is marginal.
Am not sure how much it costs in US, in Dubai it’s 58k for the fully loaded GT, and 80k for the DH premium.
22k for 14hp and wider tires and recaro seats, sounds crazy to me.
I hope you got it for a better deal…

damn, yall got it cheap over there, a fully loaded GT here is 65K vs 58K for a base Dark Horse

When I had my GT I used to think how different could the GT350 be… I means it’s the same car with tweaks right???

While I have never driven a Dark Horse I have driven GTs Mach 1s GT350s and GT500s and guess what?

The difference between a Mach 1 or GT350 and a GT is very noticeable. Add the sticky tire packages and it’s even more so… I was shocked and amazed at the difference… I would imagine the Dark Horse is the same way …

Dare I say it’s almost like different cars

The GT I ordered with everything I could get that my DH has was $63035 MSRP. My DH was $68020 not including a DH accessory (indoor vehicle cover). So $5K.

The dark horse is not a Shelby. Not even close in my opinion. A pair of sticky wider tires and 14 horsepower is not a noticeable difference, and therefore does not justify the price.

5k seems reasonable for a dark horse, though i would still argue the differences are not noticeable if not tracked.

i mean, base spec to base spec its the same thing as the Mach 1, 2023 GT premium was 47,740, 2023 Mach 1 was 57,945

so i guess that car was also a waste of money vs a GT

Yeah, but if i get for 58k, a GT with performance pack and active exhaust, and all the premium goodies, i don’t see what makes Dark horse attractive. Which is why i was arguing that a whipple worth 10k on the DH, would have made it a much more attractive variant for what it’s worth here.

how about the fact that for 58k you get all that stuff the GT has, plus a better aero package, better tires, larger brakes, and a tremec transmission.

The DH is 58k only ?! Our dealer must be ripping us off.

they sure are!
I just built a DH premium that matches my GT features + the DH handling pack. And it’s not 60k. So not really getting apple to apple goodies.
