Thank you. I might need to get it replaced as soon as possible. Do you notice any differences when yours is replaced? I’m worried the soundproofing effect will be worse after replacement.
I didn’t notice anything different BUT I am always wide open throttle listening to the dulcet tones of our cars when possible so it’s not something I even considered.
I don’t want to steer you wrong, but the car is making plenty of noise already and I don’t notice anything different after. I do ride around in sport or track exhaust most of the time though so I may not be a good judge.

Just thought I'd mention we also have a local Aussie subforum on here where you can ask. Maybe someone else from Australia has gone through the same issue before and can shed some light. As far as I know, the only place to get a OEM windscreen is via the dealer network. My bet is it will be double the price than the generic one, but thats just a guess.

Thank you bro. I called Sunshine Ford today and got the quote for the OEM windscreen it’s about $1,300 not including labour. I’m waiting for my insurance to confirm if they will cover this for me.

I just paid $1050 for a new Ford windshield, with recalibrations. It was done at a glass shop, not the dealer.

Check out my recent two threads! Same exact thing happened to me! What's odd is in my 35 years driving I've never had a chipped windshield. Do you guys think these are cheaply made?

Thanks bro. I will check with my insurance company if they will cover the cost
My insurer wanted to put an aftermarket screen on my last car. I disputed that on the grounds the car was still under warranty and I wanted an OEM unit so that there's no future issues with a non genuine one.
They caved.

I don't think they're cheaply made, or at least, the same quality as any other windshield. I also think $1100 is probably about right if you have the options with the cameras/sensors. $1300 seems to be getting a bit much.

My Ram TRX's windshield got hit twice in about three months. OEM glass for it (HUD, cameras, sensors, etc.) is about $1800, and its a decently larger windshield.

Yeah mate it sucks. I only just bought it brand new in April. Will contact the insurance company and the dealer..see what they can do…I hope this will never happen to you. Will keep you posted.
I got mine in Dec 24, daily drive it, amazing car, just a stone chip so far, Guess these things happen, can't leave it in the shed. Yes I'm keen to see how this works out for you, Cheers.

No, my price is in USD.

If it’s an OEM windshield, everything should be the same except the part number. The pony icon and ford logo should be there as well. It’s just the part number that tells people this is an OEM replacement part. Same quality so don’t worry.

Yeah mate you’re right. $1300 AUD is a fair price

Hey mate just an update so you know that I have got it replaced by O’Brien. The OEM windscreen is exactly the same as the original one except the part number is different. All logos are still there. The only thing is they damaged my dash cam cable during the installation so it stopped working. They asked me to find a repairer and they covered the cost. So now it’s fixed and everything looks all good. I didn’t pay anything during the entire process.

Great news! Hopefully the dash cam can be sorted,I just put a dash cam in myself, maybe I'd remove the cable prior on your feedback and save myself the trouble later, Thanks, I really appreciate your feedback. So glad your back on the road.
