RTR Ecoboost - anyone actually got/seen one?

This model is basically vaporware, at least for 2026. The first and only one I've seen listed is in AZ for $55K... ( New 2026 Ford Mustang Ecoboost Premium For Sale in Peoria AZ T5126843 | Peoria New Ford For Sale 1FA6P8TH5T5126843 )

Ridiculous price, but I'm curious as to any owner experiences, how does it actually feel/handle, how's the "anti-lag" system, etc.

According to publicly available info, there's about 100 in the system. About 30 on lots, about 35 In Transit, and about 40 In Production. I didn't click on every single link, but basically any fastback over $46.5k is gonna be an RTR.

No one pays $83k for a GT unless it's a RTR. $88k for a DH is fully loaded.

Yeah, Mustangs are expensive but I agree that paying over $50k for an Ecoboost is a silly investment.

Yesterday, I actually did a ride along in one at Mustang Week in Charlotte. The best way to describe the ride is to say it’s a DH with an Eco engine. The suspension work and handling is prestigious. Felt better than my GT I’m assuming because of the lightweight and suspension upgrade. The anti-lag chefs kiss. The sound…well it’s non existent. Turbo Spools…nope. Acceleration…meh. Final impressions, I actually liked it. Yes, I can see price throwing people off because it not a V8 but everything else done to it justifies it to me.

I've never seen anyone simultaneously make and miss the same point. So that's cool.

Nobody pays $55k for an Ecoboost either. If you go to a manufacturer's website and click every single option to make a most-expensive-possible config, every car looks like a stupid price. The $55k Ecoboost is a straw man, just like the $83k GT.

The point being made was that GT MSRPs do not get that high. Anyone who is paying 83k for a GT is willingly paying ADM and being ripped off.

If you go on the Ford website, the cheapest RTR Ecoboost config is $43,895

Now, if you build out a Premium EcoBoost, add the RTR package ($6,250), Magneride, painted brake calipers, you're at $52,050

So not quite $55,000, but close. That dealer is adding $5,000 to the price though.
