I just got the Roush kit installed. I ordered their "CAI" kit as well in hopes that I could hear the whine more. So far, I cant hear anything inside the car. Has anyone tried the Whipple Crusher intake with the Roush kit? I wonder if this setup would increase the audible sound from the SC.

How loud are you expecting it to be?

The newer blowers just aren't very loud. Especially at only 10-12psi. The gears are a better design these days. And the TVS blowers like the Roush are going to be quieter than the twin screws like the Whipple (which aren't very loud either)

How loud is your exhaust? If you have a loud aftermarket exhaust it's going to drown out the sound from the supercharger.

the whine actually comes from the driver when the supercharger gets so heat soaked so quickly and power is lost

ok, but really, robvas is right. the signature whine is from the geartrain in the supercharger, so less whine means more efficient. i think roots type superchargers just make less noise in general compared to twin screw

So, I have the active exhaust with an H pipe. Even in quite mode, I cannot hear anything. I would like to hear some whine. Think the open air box would help?
