i put the interior camera on the back window, along with the rear camera. but the camera didnt come with a long enough cable to run back to it. i still put it up, but ordered a long cable on Amazon to connect it
Why 2 camera's in the rear?
And I also need 1 lobger cable. Can you share the link?

I like the way you placed the dashcam.
I placed it on the right side on the window, next to the plastic thing of the rear view mirror. I might remove it and do it like how you did it. Where and how did you hide the cables? I see you didn't use the usb of the rear view mirror.

i made a hole in the piece of trim and routed the wires through there. the power comes from fuse taps in the BCM, and that goes across the front edge of the headliner, down the right A pillar, and behind the dash. the cable for the rear camera goes along the front of the headliner, but to the left, around the left A pillar trim and along the headliner again, around the B and C pillar trim, and ends at the top of the rear window. excess cable is just thrown under the headliner.

also, i was having trouble with aligning and attaching the rear cameras, so i 3D printed and mounted a bracket with alien tape, with the cameras attached to the bracket via JB Weld. the bracket was printed in black Bambu Lab polycarbonate

Have you already done some testing with the new dashcam? And how is it so far?
it is fantastic. have had no issues with it and the image quality is wonderful. the really only downside is that when you have all 3 cameras plugged in the max framerate drops from 60fps to 30fps, but its understandable. the CPU in that camera is already doing so much work with two 2k and a 4k video stream at 30fps

Nice! I havent had the time to test it out. I put them in place and the next day I drove my car in a shipping container. I will at least have some footage to watch, to see the costums checking my car 😂😂😂

Have you seen reviews on youtube? Ive seen that the 60fps isnt that much of an upgrade compared to 30fps with hdr on.

Using these dashcams can you review from a web feed? I've got Blackvue in my car (front and rear) but they recently moved from a FLEET ACCOUNTS must pay to EVERYONE must pay so now I'm looking at moving away from them to something else.

i dont believe so. you need to have the camera have its wifi on and be connected. but i do recommend looking online because i may be wrong

some misc updates from this week and my current plans:
- battery went bad, had to replace it. thankfully it was under both the bumper to bumper 3 year 36k mile warranty, and the battery's own 12 month 12k mile warranty. state of charge was as low as 49% before replacement.

- i figured out that the sunglasses holder is actually quite far back in my vision for information. so, i have opted to instead design and print a brand new overhead console entirely, rather than modify mine to fit my needs. this has proven annoying at best due to the fact that the overhead console is curved, plus i need places to fit the map lights, intrusion sensor, and other things. i plan to change the design a bit to make the process easier. things like changing the mechanism for the lights on and off and the individual map lights on and off.

- i also figured out that Ford's double buttons are very specialized for their use, and instead i will be designing and printing my own custom buttons. this will allow me more freedom with their design and layout.

- i got one of those oil pumps and will be doing an oil change this weekend. i hate dealing with hot oil and i hope this goes well. i will still need to deal with an oil filter, but i can handle that. i just have an overwhelming fear of being burnt by that oil.

- this weekend i will also be testing the WACM to see if i can get it working properly without overheating either itself or my phone.

- i will be getting in contact with Diode Dynamics to see if they are going to be making a version of their map lights that takes an input from the MyColor ambient lighting system instead of having their own setup.

- sometime soon i will hopefully finally finish up the custom cupholder, and make some actual progress on my additional ambient lighting. the 360 camera project is on hold

oil change is done. put in 10qt of Royal Purple. also tested the wireless charger and my guess is probably right. it's getting too hot because of proximity to the transmission tunnel

my custom exhaust is almost ready to be done. just yesterday i managed to get a hold of a muffler from a Raptor. customer had it replaced under warranty due to the exhaust rattle TSB and it was deemed scrap. yeah, one of the valves rattles, but beggars cant be choosers, plus it came with motors and springs. i felt no play in the valves themselves, so i bet it's something with the spring
