It is an anti-theft system (good thing) that can be turned off and is not Dr Porsche turning off your car. Get a grip man!
I never said it was Dr. Porsche

What I did say is that the capabilities are there for the system to be abused if someone wanted to.

You people are reading what you want to read to fit your own perception of me.

Google analytics has it all - better logoff now
If given the choice, wouldn't you rather they not have that data?

Its really that simple.

I can't go back and undo my online presence I made when I was ten of fifteen and didn't know any better. My data is already floating around. Literally all I am saying is that we are at this point because we have allowed it to get here.

There is no grand conspiracy, there is nothing controversial in that statement. If you think there is, you are a dope.

You are reading what you want to fit your perception of us. Look in the mirror and stop with the "you people" stuff.
I am directly quoting back what you're saying.

You're saying I'm peddling a conspiracy. I'm not.

If you're a gear head, you know congress has mandated remote shutdown. The mandated date is 2027 models. The idea (at least what they're telling people) is to give police the ability to shut down a drunk driver or perhaps an escaping villain of some sort. Or....

Let's say the fed wants to stop people driving during the next virus pandemic, and they decide to make sure you don't drive, wham! If this doesn't sound Orwellian, I don't know what is?! Does this remind you of mask mandates? It does me, but about three decimal points to the right!
It's not the job of the government to nanny the people, it's the people's job to nanny the government.

What's next?

Turn off our phone if we speak something they don't like?
Turn off the internet if we say something they don't like?

Rights don't come from the government. Rights come from God, if the government "granted" you a right, it can take away that right. The government putting a killswitch in our cars that they, and anyone who hacks it has control over is stupid and no matter what political party you're with, it should be stopped. The government does not have the authority to killswitch your car. It technically doesn't have the authority to "license" you to drive. Can you imagine the founding fathers getting drivers licenses to ride a horse or buggy, then pay taxes every year on the same buggy and horse. They literally started a war on a 2% tax. :sunglasses:

As a website owner that data is very useful for determining how effective the site is and what is working - so yes it is really useful stuff. That is how the internet works.

Not sure why any opinion other than yours makes somebody a dope?

Erm, 'God' means nothing to a lot of people so has no impact on rights at all.
