Purchased a knock off AC hood vent and pleasantly surprised

I had seen this hood vent on eBay and I really liked the way it looked.

I went snooping around and basically found that it appears to be a Chinese made knock off of an Anderson Composites hood vent.

I love the look of it but the pricing on the AC product caused me to choke. Really was an unnecessary purchase but it just kept nagging at me. I bought it to shut myself up and was worried that the product wouldn’t fit or be ok or whatever.

Bottom line : you can definitely get lucky once in a while. It makes me rethink my purchase of the RTR chin splitter as that was a lot of money and there are so many splitters at significantly lower pricing. I believe the RTR splitter is a good product and the fact it’s one piece is a major plus. Truth be told though - in some cases it looks like price doesn’t always correlate with something being satisfactory or not.

Noticed this item on the market recently as well. The design definitely looks great. Let us know how it holds up, like I wonder how the paint finish will handle UV and age over time.
