Just chatted with them, agent didn't have a secondary to give, and didn't know what the oktb date was. Is there some secret to talking to these guys that I'm not picking up on?

Does anybody’s window sticker have a safety rating filled in? I am betting they are waiting on the IIHS safety ratings or 5 star safety ratings before they ship.

For those that still take Ford’s delivery dates seriously, here’s an update on mine. Obviously the dates are randomly generated

“ Thank you for patiently waiting! Your 2024 Ford Mustang is being manufactured at one of our factories. It has been produced at Flat Rock Assembly Plant, MI. This update was made on Jul-28-2023. The current estimated time of arrival to the dealership is showing as Jul-09-2023-Jul-15-2023, but there is a pending update on this as well. This means that this information will be updated but we are unable to speculate as to when it will be updated as we would only have general status updates here at the Customer Relationship Center. The date provided is the estimated time of arrival to the dealer is subject to change depending on the capacity of our suppliers. I would only have general status details.”

having a rating or not doesn’t stop them from selling anything as long as the company has tested the cars internally. So it is still most likely some other BS ford is sitting on. Such as a magic date or a certain number of cars produced to reduce price gouging by dealers due to low inventory. I could see Ford withholding shipping till there are a very solid number of units ready to ship with custom orders as well. Once people see us driving they will want to buy one, and Ford wants those cars available for purchase without delay.

Luck of the agent you get. Most agents want to keep thier call stats acceptable i.e. avg call time, avg speed of answer, good dispositions etc and want to end call asap. I'm not impressed with Fords call center culture and training it may be third party.

I agree they don’t have to include the safety ratings on the window sticker but they certainly like to take credit for them in their advertising. I expect they could, at the least, be holding back a flood of ads pending the results of the safety ratings.

My dealer told me my car has been built since June 27th and has an ETA Aug 1-7 like everyone else. They said they are holding them to release them all at the same time. Just what the dealer told me.

My dealer told me when I called the other day, that I would be the first to hear anything and that until they get ahold of me with my vin, that the dealership doesn’t know anything. Once I get vin, then the dealership can find out things.
To me, there is no rhyme or reason as the ordering dates and why some people have gotten Vin numbers and others haven’t, when they ordered sooner. I never got an acknowledgement they even received my order, And they sure do not make it easy to find out

Spoke dealer today, mine dark horse is at the ramp awaiting rail car number and shipment, supposedly by the end of this week.

Ford support advised "not aware of any shipping holds nor any Mustangs released yet"

My tracker just updated today, had a date under "in production" of August 2nd. Guess I'm stuck in shipping limbo, collecting bird poop until Ford decides it's okay to sell the cars now.
