That is the default for order priorities, but since you got your VIN and scheduled right away that number makes no difference now.
Priority code 19 Does that mean anything?

Their delivery logistics is very slow I think. The only way to fight that is to get so busy you don't think about it. It will come.....they want to be paid. Word to the wise......inspect the car very closely. Damage does happen in transit.

Yes at 19 and LOWER you will get a car. You may have it by the end of this month.
Ignore this. That number is meaningless once it's scheduled.

That is a post to help him and other people out.
Without going into detail 19 (the number will drop to 1) and lower means the dealer has allocation and you will get a car. If you order a car and get a priority code say 80 you can forget seeing a car anytime soon.
He will have his car around in Sept depending on shipping.

All of which is completely irrelevant to the OPs original question.

His car is in production now and the priority code that was assigned to it when it was ordered is now meaningless when it comes to when it will be delivered. He wants to know what may be holding it up DURING production.

Analogy: The priority code is like the little numbered paper tag you get at the deli counter when waiting in line to buy meat. A lower number gets you to the counter before those with a higher number, but once you're at the counter, it doesn't mean the butcher is going to work any faster when cutting your meat.

No, the number does not "drop" as it goes through the assembly process.

Years back, I posted a huge write-up on the F150 forums going over the entire ordering, scheduling, and build process at the Ford assembly plants covering everything from prioroty codes to blend numbers and such. It's still there if you're interested in understanding how everything works.

The plant also shuts down for a couple of weeks at the beginning of July annually.
This summer, FRAP was down the week having July 4th (starting 6/30), they were down last week, and will be down this coming week.

My company produces a major component for ~70% of all NA market Ford and Lincoln SUVs, F150, Super Duty thru F450, and Mustang. Actually, I think we're down to about ~65%.

My GT500 priority code number DID drop. I started out at 80, when the order was picked 8 months later after they got an allocation it dropped to 19, right before the car when into production it dropped again to a 1.
So yes it does drop as it moves along.

I’m sure you are correct! That’s the reason you got your GT500 so quickly — they produce thousands and thousands of them. 😉😉😉
The process is exactly the same.

Mine was ordered 2/13/25 and arrived at dealer 5/21/25 with Priority Code 19.

I remember the salesman telling me good thing you ordered when you did b/c he said some parts for some packages weren't available and that was causing delays.

It took 10mos to get.
FYI I worked at a Ford dealer for 7 years.
