Looks like I am going to cancel my order that was placed 7/9 for my GT Premium. Still have no build date. I am wondering about my $500 deposit I gave to the dealer. Will that be refunded once I cancel my order? Or am I just out the 500 bucks?

Every dealer has their own process. You'd have to discuss the details with your salesperson or review your order documentation. Sometimes, state rules come into play (often in favor of the buyer).

Have they provided feedback why the car has not been scheduled?

Did the dealer clarify to you they had an allocation?

Have you reviewed the circulating constraints listing? Did you order an option under constraint?

Edit: I noticed your signature. I think it's a combination of the Performance Package and Night Pont Package, both under constraint, that are holding things up. If the dealer can confirm you have an allocation, you could 1) to wait it out, 2) cancel those options or 3) cancel the order.

I also believe your location is strongly factoring into this. I wonder about shipping cars to Alaska at this time if the year.

By the way, stopped in Wasilla for lunch on our way to Anchorage. Very nice town. 👍

Yeah I know my options are the cause for hold up on the order. I have found a few in other states on lots that have almost the exact same specs, and with shipping are coming in cheaper than my dealer quoted me. Thinking of buying out of state. Just don't want to lose the deposit. Thanks for the info.

My location is also a factor I'm sure. They still ship vehicles up here in winter, but my dealer is small so they are probably low on the list of receiving orders. Wasilla is a cool little town been here for almost 25 years now still love it.

Majority of the time Ford dealerships will refund your deposit.
