My observation has been that I need to blast my high beams at other drivers to get them to turn theirs off... can I have the drivers in your area?

Several years ago one early morning, an oncoming driver had high beams on. I flashed mine at the driver. It was a California Highway Patrol officer.

He spun around and LIT ME UP!! I did not get a ticket.. got an earful about how it’s illegal to ‘flash’ oncoming drivers..

I can't even hear mine.
There's no way we have the same seat fans then. They are STUPID loud in our car. I hate them. In my RAM Rebel 2500 , can't hear them at all.

HAHA !

A buddy of mine was at a light, many, many years ago in MD with a county cop high beaming him. He did exactly the same thing and you guessed it, cop caught an attitude and pulled him over. All of us told him he was high beaming our buddy. verbal warning ; IOW, I thought I could pull one over on you but you have witnesses.

Maybe a dealer visit is in order? That's not normal.

They say it's illegal because they don't want drivers flashing their lights to warn other drivers of cops in the vicinity...

Yeah that 5 MPH difference in auto high beams would definitely keep me up at night. 🤣
I was just stating that they are not instant.

The truck seems to be progressive (slow fade to full but instant drop to low) but I haven’t noticed the same behavior in the mustang.

Unfortunately most of the creature comforts and safety features are substandard compared to most other vehicles in this price point. Especially the seat cooling fans are crazy loud.
Agree on the loudness of the seat fans...

That sort of blatant hypocrisy probably would have landed me in jail.

That man has no business being in that job.

Only because their objective is to be sneaky. I would be be a negative troll if I had to make a living off a cops pay too.....maybe.. They chose their profession.

Here's a Duh moment. The manual for my wife's car said it had auto high beams. I couldn't get them to work. In the settings the enable button was greyed out. I called the dealer salesman who didn't know, he put me onto a Tech who didn't know either. I suggested that he goes to a car in stock and see if they worked. He didn't get back to me.
The car then went in for a service at a different dealer and I asked them about the auto high beams. They came back to me and said it doesn't have auto high beams. The manual was just f**king with me.

Mines just as loud. I don’t hear them at all in my X5, but honestly, i also don’t feel them in my X5. Loud or not, they work well.
