I can’t answer your specific questions, but, I think the price of the Ford unit is similar to the aftermarket ones. And, you can call them & they will confirm that it fits your car. When I purchased mine from Automotive Authority, they asked if I had a Dark Horse, implying that there might be a difference. It fit when I received it.
If you still have the spare, just test fit it on your car to see if it clears everything.

I wish I had kept the spare out of the old Mustang, but it went with the car.

I'm sorry to revive this ancient thread, but I'm trying to get more clarification. I used to have a 2020 Mustang EcoBoost and I added the Ford OEM spare tire kit (FR3Z-1K007-C). I just got a 2024 Mustang GT/CS with the non-performance package, four-piston Brembos this week and was looking to get the spare tire kit for this car. According to the Ford site, the kit is only for vehicles up to model year 2023. Will the kit work on my car since it doesn't have the six-piston Brembos from the Performance package? Did something else change with the S650 cars, wheel offset or lug nut type? I have looked at the aftermarket options, and they really don't look better than the OEM kit if you have the smaller brakes. Has anyone tried the OEM Ford kit on a 2024 GT?

I believe it will work. I have a factory spare for my 24. I cant confirm, but I'd be stunned if the spares changed from the S550 to the S650.

You have a 2024 with the silver four-piston Brembos in the front? If you could, please look at your spare wheel and let me know what part number is on it. TIA

Yes, I have the 4 piston brembos. The spare was a factory option. I know many people here have it too. Im 99% certian its the same part number as the 2023. Im not going to dig out my spare to look at the part number.

Well, I bought the spare tire kit part number FR3Z-1K007-C, and it fits the 2024 GT with the silver 4-piston Brembo brakes (non-performance package). I got it brand new off eBay for $297.83 including shipping and tax.​
