Nice! I have a Vapor Blue 25. I just finished with rally stripes, a GT spoiler, chin splitter, stubby antenna and a billet gas cover .... Now I just need warm weather!

Yes, I went went the dry apply 3M vinyl from this place.

https://www.automotorstripes.com/

I bought a vinyl install kit and a heat gun on Amazon. I trim the outside edges with 3M silver metallic pin striping. Install went pretty well considering I had never done it before and I was working in a dusty wood shop.

Hope to order next summer, Mustang ECOBoost Premium, Grabber Blue, Gray interior. Coming from the Corvette world, as I am one that does not like the C8, looks more Ferrari that American Corvette. Always wanted Stang so going for it.

Did you ever notice from the rear the Corvette looks like the green giant stepped on it? From the front and sides it looks great Glenn

To me the new Corvette looks like a hot wheel from the 1980's that would cost you about $100. because its different. I have owned many Corvettes all expensice at time, but I liked them, this one just did not click with me, and mid engine, sorry that is not AMERICA'S Sportscar, its an Italian car. But I see what you mean with the back,. Loved my C7 in way regret selling it, but I just felt I needed to move on to another model and brand. Mustang has always been one that I liked, NEVER a MoPar person, but Stang always had great design and lines.

If someone gives me a C8, I'm keeping it, but it isn't my favorite. To be honest, my all-time favorite is the split window. I haven't driven a mid-engined car before, but I don't think I would hate it. When I was in the military, I had a sergeant who came back from Nam, and his older brother bought him a new split-window. It was fabulous, and we tooled around all over Colorado in that beaut! Glenn

Mid engine cars are fantastic. Best handling cars by far. Also, they can put the power down way easier with the weight closer to the rear.

I don't doubt any of that and I assumed that would be the case. I just haven't had the opportunity to drive a mid-engine, yet! Glenn

I owned a Porsche 914 and a Fiat X-1/9 way back when I started Road Racing up at Bryor NH Track, very small then, expanded after several owners now known as the Loudon NASCA Track. This is where I changed from Drag Racing and NE Dragway to learning Road Racing as I was alway impressed with Mark Donahue when he drove the Camaro Z/28s during Trans-AM. Bothof these cars and the new C-8 handle like on tracks, but to work on the engine was a real issue, especially the transmission. Also mid engines are very noisy, Issues with rear axles and transmissions and lets not forget excessive wheel bearing wear, rear brake wear, and actual issues with the gas cable running backward to the carbs, most time the cable would fray and get stuck. Also with the 914 you had issues with keeping the front down at high speeds as it lifted, then Porse did come out with a front Air Dam, but this had issues too. NO Conards were used back then. YES, it is not a perfect world, and most if not all of these issues have been resolved on the C8 Corvette, however you have totally lost the Corvette Heritage and created a new car that I personally do not consider a Corvette, but a different car model all together. When the prices have reached over $80K for a well equipmed Corvette Convertible it eliminated many potential buyers and put it up to a higher economical class of buyers. Not the common man's Sports Car grew to love. And the prices keep going up as computers now drive the car. I drove the mules at the GM Knoxville Track, loved the car but hated the fact the long front short back Corvette was being replaced with this model, yes maybe cosmetics, but its more to a true Corvette owner. First Corvette was a 62 and had one of every generation let the C-6 (considered a C-5.5 and the C8). Worshiped my 2014 C7, sold it as it was not being used enough and other reasons of relocation after retirement. However, since we have settled into our retirement home it has left the door open to finally buy my first Mustang very soon. One other point I wish to make, when in the sixties GM/Chevrolet announced out of the Racing Business, this hurt track development for GM and many of the "Muscle Car" development was to Drag Racing, NOT TRACK. Ford continued with Track until the 90's when Chevrolet came back with developing the CORVETTE and MONTE CARLO for track competition once again. The C-5 really was the first Corvette in years to be a contender in the Petit La Mans racing, and soon spread to the SCCA when the produced C-5 Rolling Bodies specifically for racing....just saying. Sorry for be long, but a lot of info here.

You don't drive a C8, it drives you, very little control except for the accelerator. Want the real experince of driving a real Corvette, you need to go back to before the 1972 models, NO COMPUTERS just raw driving skills
