I'm in Canada as well @VaporBlueGT and I think your dealer may not know exactly what they are talking about. I just checked my Dark Horse VIN, which was assembled a month ago, and there are no recals on it.

Almost no issues?
Twice the system did not start up properly, but it immediately reset itself and ran properly within a minute or so. In our Ford Edge, we needed to press the buttons to force a reset many times.

@Vapor Blue GT ..... you have every right to be frustrated. Something is janky. I know of many new 2024 Mustangs for sale. Just google Auto Gurus or Auto Trader (Canada) and you'll see them. I know of a dealer in a town nearby that has a 2024 Dark Horse (new) for sale, as of Friday it was on the lot. I think a dealer in Kingston has a 2024 Dark Horse that is still for sale. Your dealer may be messing with you. Some dealers in Canada are jacking-up the prices of 2024 Mustangs - just "fishing" to see what they can catch. You may have to get your deposit back and shop elsewhere. But before I did that I'd talk with the sales manager, if you haven't already.

Honestly, a big part of me is thinking about backing out and buying a different GT in the dead of winter. I bet I could get them to knock off another 3-4k to clear themselves out before the 2025s come.

Somethings weird about this sale, there's been like 3 ups and downs regarding getting the vehicle. And this one is just a bit too perplexing for me. Not being able to even game plan how long it will take to fix is weird to me. Like at least give an estimate.

Because I’m in the US. I’ve had my car for almost a year. I’m not sure why you think I’m in another country
There's 2 Vapor Blue GT profile names (Vapor Blue GT and VaporBlueGT) on this forum and apparently something is being lost in translation......Vapor Blue GT resides in Florida, VaporBlueGT in US, but says in a thread he's in Canada.

This happens with houses too. My friend put a deposit on a house to be built last year. They changed the build from a garage with two separate doors to one big door. When he complained they said he could have his money back.....the house had already increased 50K plus in price since he bought it. Happens with cars too. I have heard of this happening with Dark Horse sales. Pure greed.

I'm in the US and have had almost no issues with the infotainment system, if that's what you are referring to. That's too bad you're having so much trouble getting those wheels under you. I visited a local dealership just to check out their mustangs in the lot and walked out with a GT premium convertible a few hours later.
My experience was basically the same as TimSez. Drove home my GT Convertible, after a few hours. There weren't any outstanding recalls and I have not had any issues with the Infotainment system. I obviously had to tune the sound to my liking, but that's normal. If the dealer cannot provide a recall number, immediately, I would call BS and find another dealer. Glenn

@VaporBlueGT .... "Honestly, a big part of me is thinking about backing out and buying a different GT in the dead of winter...." That's what I did - I bought my vapor blue metallic GT Premium convertible in February. It had been on the dealer's lot for months. The dealer had discounted it + they had not charged for its options + I got a $2K bonus from Ford. Picked a nice day to drive it home. Exact same vehicle sold at a dealer near me this past June for 10K more than I paid. IMO you have lots of options. The dealers win when they think we are in a rush or "have to have it now" ..... but they hate anyone who is willing to wait for a decent price.

I was supposed to pick up my new Ford Mustang GT Premium today but the dealership told me there is a new software recall?

He said it aas so bad there is a complete stop on buying new Mustangs period until the software can get fixed.

I asked if he meant a day or two but he told me he had no idea, could be a month for all he knows. But I have no read anything here.

Has anybody heard of this recall? Honestly the process to try and buy a new Mustang GT has been so annoying/stressful/taxing I may honestly just walk away.

Thanks to anybody who knows anything. I'm very confused.
Which dealership? Where in Canada are you located?

Mine is due to be delivered this week, sales guy has mentioned anything to me about not being able to get it once it arrives

10000% my dude. I think this is my best play. Hell, I'll even wait longer and get it a year used if I have to for 10k plus off lol.

I can't say for Canada but I know in the US it could be something as an incorrect label . Yea, I know it's crazy. Maybe it has something to do with the last OTA update which was related to the ABS system?

i Just bought mine like 2 weeks ago and they told me there was a new recall for the Body Control Module reconfiguration (Campaign# 24E05) but because Ford has no fix for it they couldn't fix it before selling it to me, but they still sold me the car with no issues. I bought this car out of my state and when I got back to my state I went to my local dealer and they said the same thing about there being no fix right now.
