I like to disassemble things.
The rep would not budge when I asked ball park price nor how many.
The reps want to act like they know but they don't. Not yet anyway.

Man, this without the SC should've been the regular DarkHorse (as a true GT350 successor) and the DH we got should've been the loaded GT ...

Wasted opportunity... People would complain much less...

Ya agree it’s just a DH with a supercharger when I pressed her about a manual trans she said never will

Now thats funny. I think we’ve already determined that nothing Ford could do would stop people from complaining.

Oh stop already. We already know it’s more than a standard DH with. SC. That’s like saying a GT500 is just a GT with a SC. As far as the manual, well that’s a dead issue as well. This is essentially the GT500 powertrain.

I am not at Daytona today soI have not met the people working there, but my experience with the folks working this type of display is that they are not Ford employees. They typically work for a marketing firm and are taught a lot of stuff about the cars and how to respond to questions. Some are even car enthusiasts which makes them easier to train on the tech bits.

I was not complaining sir I was explaining my experience. Chances are I will still buy it just wish it had a manual. I agree the drivetrain is completely different. The rest of the car is a 650.

The car is really directed towards tracking it and the DCT makes perfect sense in that regard. Equipping it with Cup2 R's makes it pretty clear. Good tire for the track, horrible tire for the street. The "but I want a manual!" got old quick 6 years ago and even quicker today. Especially from the "I would have bought one if it was a 6-speed crowd." Yea, sure buddy.

Interesting to note that Ford isn't saying boo about drag racing with it. That was half the promotion with the GT500 but with the SC, zilch. Not the best combination anyway, but the silence is interesting nonetheless.

I suppose everyone has their likes dislikes, there is not an automatic transmission in my collection. How I am wired. The Tremic 7 speed auto is likely far superior in performance to a standard.

Auto? How many American V8's with a DCT are in your collection?

And there you go. These are the age old statements that have been brought back from the dead.

If you want a manual for parades, burnouts, cars and coffee, Ford sells one behind a five liter. Until you've owned a Predator powered car with a DCT and tracked it you'll struggle with this car's intention or purpose. For those that have, the driveline combination is truly glorious. Huge thanks to Dave Pericak for convincing management to take the leap.
