I can appreciate that for sure. All else equal, narrower probably is better. Regardless, tires are certainly the priority. I had to replace mine before driving to Ohio last month for the same reason. And it DID snow while I was there. Stock Pirellis would have been all but impossible.Understandable, but the science does strongly suggest narrow is better in snow. With that being said, I can't afford both tires + wheels right now, so will probably be sticking with the stock 8.5's sadly for a while and get new tires
