I have mostly left it stock. I added the ford catch cans to keep things cleaner, a corsa HH pipe, to get a deeper tone, and a-little more volume. I also removed the carbon traps, and swapped the stock filters for some Think Auto filters. I added a viofo dash cam. I swapped my base dark horse wing for a body colored gt pp wing, got a nytop gtpp gurney flap. Removed the dh hood stripes, swapped the oem summer tires for michillin pilot sport all season 4’s . In a week or two I will be having my mirror caps painted body color, having the gurney flap painted gloss black, as well as having my wheels painted gloss black. I plan on finishing the car off by taking the DH badge off the trunk and installing one of those gloss black trunk appliqués. At this point the car is pretty damn perfect tbh a supercharger looks sweet, but most people dont talk about the tole it takes on a bunch of other components. It just becomes a rabbit hole.
I don't really consider catch cans and spoilers to be Mods. To me this Mod conversation is about aftermarket performance and suspension changes.

Spoilers modify appearance as well as downforce, catch cans modify the pcv system I dont really care what you consider a mod. Hell tint modifes the amount of light transmission. A mod is what? Modifying the part or system in a way that did not come from factory.

Cool. Then I modded my car because I put stripes in it. 🙄

You seriously felt the need to split hairs with that post? Cmon man. Literally everyone here gets here the gist of the topic.

Yeah bro adding stripes to it would be a cosmetic modification, I bet it looks sick.
the point of my post was more directed at the people that felt the car was perfect in stock form. While I mostly agree I was highlighting the things I did that I felt were an improvement. Im still on the fence about adding an irs brace kit, wheel hop gets a bit unsettling at times lol.

I will be adding a supercharger sooner rather than later. Not enough hp, but I’m used to cars with 650 to 1020 hp.

Oh yeah will I put nitrogen in the tires to save weight ........and you know those manuals in the glove box.....oh yeah...removed those too......trying to figure out what weight reduction mods I want to do next.......

The nice thing about my mods- the manual in the glove box is towards the center of the car....the tires are on the front and the back...so even though I have removed weight....I really made sure that I kept the overall balance of the car.....

I think my next weight reduction mod will be making sure I take a crap before every drive as my weight is also in the center of the car....

these all count as mods too right?? 😎

For now, I'm very much in the "leave it alone and enjoy it" - it's my first Mustang, my daily driver, and I don't think I'll truly appreciate and understand it until I've owned, driven, and maintained it for a couple of years. Plus as many have said, when you start modifying, it can be hard to stop. I figure in that time if I'm going to do anything, I'll have a better idea what I want to change.

The above all said... winter tyres (six: tires, I'm British) and maybe even winter wheels, depending on how well the EcoBoost copes with North Texas' winters.

Sounds like your making great progress bro, dont forget to remove the back seat, the tire inflation kit, door panels, glove box, trunk lining, engine cover, replace you wheels with forged rims, Swap the heavy exhaust for a lighter one, also replace 2 of your meals every day with slim fast. You should see a difference on your times.

Dallas Tx probably does not need actual "winter" tyres.

It probably doesn't but I haven't driven this generation Mustang on cold, wet roads to know how it is. We get those four days a year when it's cold and wet enough to justify them and Texas is still functional... would likely be a December to end of February thing. On the other hand, if I used winter tires, I could squint and claim I modded the car, right..?

I've lived in DFW (and hated it). When it ices over, the whole damned place shuts down. Winter tires aren't needed, just find good movies on Netflix.

I drove through the snow for 5 hours in oregon at 55 mph on some michillin pilot sport all season 4’s between the tires and the wet/ snow mode I didnt have a single issue. I did see a handful of Honda's slide off the road though.

Oh that's really good to know - thank you. I'm optimistic that having respect and fear for slippery roads with something rear wheel drive and not being intimidated by opposite lock will be fun, I mean, work out well. Thank you!
