Making something to look like something its not just seems odd to me is all. When I saw that my first thought was why didnt you just get three pedal car. Sorry, just my opinion. Not try to offend.

When I changed mine the thought of trying to make it look like a manual shift never crossed my mind at all. I did not like the looks or feel of the OEM automatic shifter. My Billetworkz in red with the GT matches my interior with the red stitching really nicely, and the manual boot cover gets rid of the ugly PRNDM on the left side — it still shows on the instrument cluster above the steering column. I’ve driven many stick shifts in cars and on motorcycles over the years, but at my age and foot challenges a clutch was absolutely not in the cards. And I really like the 10-spd automatic.

I suggested in previous post that it might look different/odd/funny to install a manual ball shift with the gear patterns on an automatic. To be just a bit nutty.. .

FWIW: I installed my Billetworkz knob NOT to look like a stick, but for the push-down lockout collar mechanism you use your knuckles to do. I hated the thumb press on top of the stock shifter. I kept dumb-thumbing it into manual and not realizing it until I was screaming at 7000RPM in 1st gear.

With the new shifter I have not done it once.

Having the shifter knob look cool is just a bonus.

Looks great!!! Billetworkz right? How was the install? Any issues w plastic rod? Moves through all gears good afternoon install?
Im gonna be installing mine this week, got a regular white cueball.

Installation is super easy. Most important thing is to make sure the lockout collar is secured with no downward pressure which defeats the lockout feature.

When I was a kid, I use to go to Bridgeton, Main, Short Lake, my uncle build a beautiful camp there. He got a movie of my catching a Lake Trout, it was rather big. Do you like near there,?

Just to be clear, I have no issue with people changing the auto shifter knob by itself. My comment on making it look like a manual was based on the poster who changed the the knob AND bezel from auto to manual style.
