Is the Dark Horse base spoiler the same as the HP spoiler?

Just without the side extensions and gurney flap?

Just curious if there's a possibility to buy the gurney flap and the two side/corner extensions or if a whole new spoiler is needed.

I can see the 4 alan wrench bolts on each side on my current non HP spoiler.

You're right it is two layers.

And the handling pack isn't two layers? Or rather, it's not a different top layer?

If anyone has close-up photos of the HP spoiler all around, I would love to see more details.

Thank you. I can clearly see the base of the HP spoiler is different shape at the two corners/sides vs the non HP spoiler, where both layers follow the curve of the car on each side.

Thanks! So I will in fact need the full new spoiler. Damn, after market better come in clutch or the HP upgrade will be more than worth the price if I put things together myself with Ford parts!

That's $2,800 just to get the HP spoiler with gurney flap, another $900 for the chin spoiler, another $200-300 for the fender flares. The wheels and tires alone would be at least $2,000-3,000, and this doesn't include the custom chassis tuning, so yeah... over $6-7k to do the package after the fact.

Will the OEM pricing come down over time once the parts aren't so limited?

That’s why i ordered a Dark Horse. Gap really isn’t that big when you add it all up. Also I am not going to debate it, the numbers are the numbers.

I like the gurney style and that’s what I’ll have on my DH! Thanks for the snapshots up close so I can see it! Thumbs up for those pics!

it should fit, all the wings have basically the same connection points so should be plug and play with little changes. As for those waiting for a aftermarket replica i know Ford Performance has a DHHP style dry carbon wing coming with the FP800, hope they release that standalone. Anderson Composites also showed off a gloss carbon DHHP style wing at SEMA so we might see that sometime this year too.

Yeah, I'm just waiting for aftermarket clones of the HP splitter and spoiler+gurney flap. I just want the look and material of OEM but 50% lower price haha.

I'm not a fan of carbon fiber appearance personally so I'm still waiting with 🤞🤞

well worst case if the aftermarket fails with the cheap DH wing you could always wrap a carbon one
