[PP021]

As of last Friday, I'm the new owner of a used 2024 Dark Horse, 700A, manual, handling package, recaro seats. This is my 6th Mustang - 72 Q-code Mach I, 79 5.0 sedan, 88 5.0 LX hatchback, 93 SVT Cobra Teal (4990 of 4933), 2003 SVT Cobra. All are gone except the 03, which I turned into a track car that has many miles at Road America. My HDPE days are long behind me.

My Dark Horse has ~2500 miles, and was owned by Ford before me. The dash plaque is PP021. It was a marketing unit (according to Anthony Fodera) and recently (beginning of May) sold at a Ford auction. I bought it at a dealerrship in Illinois.

I'm curious if anybody has insight or information about cars with PP dash plaques.

Well, I became a first time Mustang owner and actually a first time Ford owner last night. Bought the GT Premium "Nite Pony" and while a very short time, very impressed and loving driving it! I had a Challenger before and with the death of the Camaro as well had been looking for the new Chargers that were planned. But I've been a one car household now after years of working from home so needed another car and the Chargers are having issues- orders from dealers even taken down/cancelled.

So I needed a car and this led me to looking at the Mustang. Only American muscle car left, so I was looking at it, BMW M2 and the Nissan Z. The BMW is a good bit more $$ for less power and I don't know...just wan't fantastic. The Mustang is American made and I hadn't looked at them before. I was seriously impressed with how solid and nice it was. I did a lot of research over the past 3 months as well and the conclusions all led to a check in the Mustang box. So, I was able to track this one down with all the features/packages that I wanted and pulled the trigger.

Definitely a car that gets noticed! Literally on the way home from dealership last night, the freeway was pretty much empty. Then a Challenger Scat Pack came racing from out of nowhere and pulled even with me revving and jumping. Obviously wanted to race. Wife was saying "Don't you dare!!!!" lol. Just having gotten this car I don't totally know her yet though so I wouldn't have in any case. Just kind of funny. It does get a lot of attention. Going to have to be extra careful around Highway Patrol, I think!

Anyway, looking to have fun with the car, maybe do some mods if they aren't insane or damaging to the car. Like...do they make chip tuners you can just plug in to use and then uninstall profiles from the computer before you take it in to the dealer? That kind of thing. Bottom line I'm looking forward to the journey!

Is that the "blue ember metallic" color? I saw one like that at the dealership I was at. Beautiful color...very unique.

Nice! I like that color...I THINK it is the same color I saw at my dealership. I liked it. Congratulations! Very fun cars, for sure. I'm loving mine.

Thanks Is called Vapor blue, I’ve seen quite a few Mustangs with this colour. I was more for Atlas Blue, but they removed it for the new 2025 so this was my second option.

I'll try to remember to get a picture and post it, but here is what Blue Ember Metallic looks like, at least in the sunlight. In cloud cover it is like a subdued grayish blue, almost flat, and in heavy shade or at night it looks black.

There is orange (ember) metal flake in the paint.
