I do plan on daily driving this through the winter as well. I couldn't afford to get this and keep the WRX without stretching myself a little too thin.
I'll be switching to a good set of winter tires and likely avoiding driving when the weather gets particularly nasty. I'll miss the WRX in the winter for sure, that thing is a tank with snow tires on lol.

I too may venture out in my Mustang in the winter here in SE MI if it's not too bad out. Luckily I work at home so that's a plus. Best of luck with the new Stang

Hey all. I've got my Mustang GT 401A on order. I'm estimating it's gonna show up and be ready for pickup sometime in September which should be just as the snow starts flying here in northern Alberta, and yes, I plan on WINTER driving this beast! -40 degree weather and high hp RWD hasn't stopped me before. All it takes is a little bit of skill and a good set of Nokian studded winter tires. I'm getting the dealer to put on a full undercoat, paint protection film, and interior protection spray as well as a block heater on the performance package because let's be real. That shouldn't even be an optional thing where I live. Should be standard.

I've had good experiences with Blizzaks and the Michelin X-Ice in the past, so probably one of those. I'll be doing some more research before I pull the trigger on tires as winter gets closer.

Not certain what the brand is going to be, I'll be sure to ask them before they go ahead and do it. I had a factory undercoat on a 1992 Honda Prelude that I had bought used from the original owner and that car held up great for its age.

I'm up here in Gratiot County. I'll likely run with Blizzaks, or maybe General Ultimax Arctics. I've had both before and never had any regrets abut either.

New to the Forum. This is my third Mustang. I had a 74 notch back in high school and a 86 coupe in the 80’s, many other cars in between. I am loving the S650 so far, working on my semi RTR conversion .

Recently bought a 2024 Ecoboost in Atlas Blue with Carmine Red interior and all the bells and whistles. I've had other Mustangs in the past. I joined the North Texas Mustang Club in 1985 when I was restoring a 1966 289 coupe. My last Mustang was a 68 302 Sprint B package which I sold in 2014. I had gone over to the dark side and next restored a 72 Corvette (2019 NCRS Top Flight which I'm very proud of). I have a few other toys, couple old Jaguars, a Lotus, another C3 Corvette and a pickup truck for fetching parts. And as you might surmise from my username, a Toyota Supra (an obsession really). Cars are like potato chips, I can't stop at just one.

But I'm back in the Mustang fold with this S650 generation, the first time I've bought a "new" Mustang. It's always been vintage project cars. This Ecoboost is intended to be my new daily "commuter car". I'm a DIY'er and the thing that impressed me the most was opening the hood and thinking "This'll be a piece of cake to work on!" Like an old Ford truck with an inline six. The salesman did a good job tho, taking me to a back road, setting up the drag mode and saying to me "Now, punch it!" I must say, the Ecoboost is no slouch. I'm at the age tho that had there still been a Thunderbird, Cougar or Lincoln mkvii that's probably what I would have done, but sadly nobody makes personal luxury coupes anymore. I may make a few minor changes to this Mustang for my own aesthetics/comfort but generally looking forward to a few years of new-car reliability and warranty service.
