So I actually have this ordered here is my build sheet, but I’m thinking of canceling tomorrow and ordering a dark horse. But I can only add one option like the handling package. The price difference is pretty steep but I just love the look and the notoriety of driving a dark horse down the street..Any opinions?

I won't be discouraging anyone from ordering a Dark Horse, especially with the handling package. The brakes are astoundingly good.
- the Trofeos - tires, will be gone in a few short thousand miles, so be ready to replace them SOON after delivery.

If you want Recaros, the smart option is to not order them from the factory, as you give up memory seating, etc. You can add the seats via swap afterwards and probably for less.

If you can afford the Dark Horse and handling package, it is a very fun car to drive.
It's a bit more track focused so if you're planning on some fun stuff, I'd go to the Dark Horse.
If you're not ever going to take it to a track, the GT is smarter money.

For me, owning a Mustang is not a necessity; it's a luxury. I don't daily drive it, it's not my only vehicle. It's, for lack of a better term, a toy.

When I buy out of necessity, price concerns me and I want the best value for my dollar. When I buy for my enjoyment, I buy the best option (highest trim, etc) that I like and can almost afford. Then figure out how to make it work.

So, I guess what I'm saying is, get whatever YOU like and can afford. You don't need any internet warrior's approval. You're the one that has to live with it, and pay for it, so you better be the one that's happy with it!

If you like your build enough to go into a dealership and order it, keep it. If you can handle the extra cost without it impacting your life, get the DH built the way you want it.

If that means you need to wait a bit longer to save, so be it. It’ll be that much sweeter when you get it. I waited for my GT until I could buy it outright and have no regrets. I don’t notice the 14 HP I’m missing from a DH.

Would a compromise be to get this 2025 DH from your dealer instead? If you’re not married to the idea of white with bronze, this one looks great and I bet you can negotiate to less than your current order price, not to mention having it this week. Make sure you don’t pay that “advertising fee” if you do, or charge the dealer a $329 fee for picking up the car.

I'd say it depends on what your looking for. If this will be a car you keep and love it then get the darkhorse. If your pretty young and might want something different down the road get the cheaper option. If you really love the horse and can swing it, then get what you want it's up to you. You have to enjoy and live with your decisions. Its not something anyone needs it's an enjoyment.

The Dark Horse is a track focused car. Especially with the handling package. Seems like a big waste just to pay for some graphics if thats all you like.

You don't need to track the car to enjoy it, I don't support that advice. If you like the look of the Dark Horse and you feel it will give you joy to own and drive it, get it. Life is too short. I've sunk a ton of money into making my GT go fast in a straight line, even blown the engine once and had to do a rebuild, and I've never once taken my car to a track. All I do is daily her and drive her like she was stolen off the lot. You can toot around town in your Dark Horse feeling like a boss and never take it to a track as long as you own it. I see it as no different than people who buy a 4x4 truck with no intention of ever needing four wheel drive. Have fun with your new toy.

if you're never tracking, the GT is a smarter choice.
You can moderately lower, add a splitter easily.
You’re right you’re right I know. The front facia of that dark horse is so nice but like you said, I can add a chin spoiler and the black rear spoiler.
I think you need to change your forum name to Undecided_Scotty.

Or Indecisive_Scotty.

Or Maybe_I_Should_Get_A_Challenger_Scotty.

i had 4 Challengers, Hellcat, Shaker Scats WB. Been there done that.

If you're wanting a manual, get the DH, hands down. The Tremec is a much better, stronger, and smoother transmission than the MT-82.
What do you think of grabber blue?
