How many Mustangs have you had? (a funny story)

Now that I’m thinking about it, it was actually a Saleen mustang (not a cobra) that looked similar to that. It was a convertible cause he had this extra piece that you could put on the back that made it look really sweet. I can try to find a picture

That sounds likely because the wing doesn't look like the one Ford used. I used to work just down the street from Saleen in El Toro (now Lake Forest). I seen a mustang that was modified there however I never got closer than the street that was in front of it.

This will be my first Mustang (other Ford was an explorer - capri and pinto... don't laugh)... Can't wait to see it parked next to my C8. Missed the Ford Nationals at Carlisle due to prior commitments. Will be there next year for sure.

I owned an SN95 when I was 17. I actually got that thing for free, and it probably isn't even worth that. T'was a V6, base interior, and a 5-speed with some really shitty aftermarket shifter. Was a piece of junk, could never get it to run right. Pretty sure it was a theft recovery, the car was 3 different colors, and it was all around just a junky car. Sold it to a guy for $350 and never saw it again.

I currently own a 1964.5 Coupe, with a 5.0 and T5 waiting to get swapped in. Factory V8 5 lug AC, everything else was base model. Factory paint was Caviar Blue, currently matte black, going to be painted red with white stripes in the coming year. Was someone's stroker project in the 80s, and is all patched up with license plates. It's very ugly, which is probably why I got it for $900, but its truly a solid car.

The 2024 GT will be my third Mustang. Would've loved to get one in race red with white stripes to match my 1964 (when it eventually gets painted) but alas professionalism is kind of a necessity, so I settled on a plain black Mustang GT and am gonna enjoy every bit of it.

Always liked them. Never was able to get one. My father looked at an '04 Competition Orange Mach 1 that is one of my favorite cars of all time. Have looked at a lot over the years. Wanted to Coyote or Godzilla swap an SN95 but decided to just get something ready to go. I have an order in for a 2024 base GT.

This is my 6th Mustang (should have bought another S550 first to make this one my 7th!)

First as a 1965 triple black convertible with 289, 4 barrel carburetor and 3 speed. Paid $50 for it. Had to tow the car home, pulled the heads and had them rebuilt, put it back together and discovered why it wouldn't run properly. The guy I bought it from put new plugs and wires on it but screwed up the order so it had like the #8 firing when it was supposed to be #1. Once I wired it properly it started up and ran fine - quick check with the timing light and all was right. I drove it all through college (1971 to 1976) and sold it 3 years later when the floor rotted out and it was sagging in the middle.
