V8 engines make more power per cv than smaller number of cylinders at a given size one a certain displacement is reached. Covered this already.

you can look at frictional loss - duh. More cylinders/surface area. But then you bury your head in the sand and pretend to not notice that the fans far outweighs nominal friction loss.

good job. You’ve now proven (again) that you don’t care about mfacts, but rather continuing to bicker. Whether it’s this point, or your mental gymnastics to get away from the fact that only 5% of ev batteries get recycled, it’s a strange pattern.
You seem to be conflating two discussions now which is odd. Not sure what V8's have to do with batteries?

V8's make more power per cubic volume do they. Why is that?

What 'fans' are you on about?

You seem to be totally ignoring that forced induction gives MUCH better power output per cc (and hence enables small engines to produce the same power as larger ones) and CRUCIALLY you seem to be missing the fact that V8 engines DON'T FIT most cars! It doesn't matter how good a V8 is if it doesn't fit in the car!

Indeed, because the 95% are either being repurposed for domestic battery use or accumulated for future recycling when the numbers get big enough to make it viable. I would suggest that semantically being repurposed is a form of recycling but you would no doubt disagree!
“Accumulated” means piled up my guy.
But hey just keep going with the gymnastics.

Good point about physical size, my friend has a coyote swapped fox body and the engine is HUGE in there… and this is no A.C, power steering, power brakes… basically illegal to build without accessories…. And that’s a foxbody.. 3300-3400 lb car easily

They feel like a death trap with that much power and that small…

My base 2024 GT was 3720… I don’t think the car can get dimensionally smaller at all… there is no weight savings to be had
Ford has done a great job making the car as light as possible in modern times.

If they make it any smaller it’s gonna be ecoboost only.

LOL.

IF a car is designed as an EV, no ICE engine fits. If a car is designed for a four cylinder, it’s challenging too. But as numerous custom builds have shown, the v8 most definitely fits just about anywhere you want it. It’s not a challenge for a civic to fit a v8 from the factory if Honda wanted it.

but using that argument is like saying a v8 doesn’t fit in a motorcycle. Of course, if something is designed with certain parameters, then it’s meant to go with those parameters. But there are plenty of v8 cars, trucks, and SUVs thst show tje v8 does indeed fit / especially with the forced induction space lesser engined cars must accommodate. But hey keep going. We need the comedy relief.

Yes but crucially that doesn't mean 95% are being dumped. very different to what you were suggesting.

See if you can improve?
i don’t suggest. I state clearly. Apparently you were reading into things. But even with your assumption, it seems you defeated your own point since UOU pointed out the batteries are piling up. At least you had some truth in there. Keep it up.

But I can easily see a mustang badge looking at home on that grille. It looks super classy.

Well, At least it looks better than the Probe.

And we know how that worked out.

I know exactly what it means. Glad we agree!
Which is not what the Mustang is for. She would never be able to insure it anyway.

Get her a Dacia if they sell them in the US, great value and basic cars based on old Renault platforms and engines etc.

In which case it wouldn't be a Civic. Have you seen how low the 'hood' is. It is impossible to fit a V8 in a Civic and still retain the size, never mind that a Civic is FWD. Why not try a Mini or even a Kei car

Have you noticed that the Ecoboost Mustang with a much smaller engine is almost as fast as the V8 and more economical - that really doesn't align with your comments does it!

It is only you droning on about this - the rest of the world and all of the car makers went smaller, less cylinders and forced induction years ago for very good reasons. If you were right they wouldn't have done it - give it some thought!

I was responding to somebody who was talking about a simple car for their 16 year old daughter. Missed that bit did you?

There’s been a lot of contradictions on this thread. 😂

But I enjoy the read.

A secretary’s car? …. Well since executive assistants make much more these days a 16 year old’s first car, what better way to target an audience.

mustamg would fit the bill for that too. Missed that part yourself.

mustang is for everybody.

instead you steer a potential customer elsewhere. In this of all threads.

if you don’t see the problem there, then you are beyond reason.

but your posts speak for themselves.

anti-v8, pro-accumulating dead batteries, and now, anti-mustang.

I think you’re just on the wrong forum.

the soy farm forum is that way.
