Hard numbers are difficult to come by, but on street engines it can be 50 to 150 horsepower just to turn the supercharger. The internet says it is over 1000 horsepower to turn the blower on a top fuel dragster.

The first and third options connect to the crankshaft, so there is going to be additional stress on the engine.

As for other stress on the engine and transmission, that is all going to be dependent upon how much power you are pushing through the engine and transmission.

With equal horsepower, the turbo is going to be less stressful on the engine, but not on the transmission. Think about it this way, the engine has to generate power to turn the superchargers under boost. The measured horsepower is not the work that the engine had to do.
Why are the Magnuson superchargers so much cheaper than the other options? It looks just like the Roush one

Great thread. I reached out to ESS and they said they would be shipping late fall. I’m in talks with Hellion about ordering a kit this week but I’m still doing research before I pull the trigger. That Magnusson kit is not a full kit.

My goal is to have a cool sounding stang to drive down this main road its like 40mph. I think the twin turbo's are the best option nothing but a bunch of bmw's and audi's popping left and right down that road wanting to race to 40mph? Its goofy

Does a twin turbo kit work with catted headers?

Not unless you build your own custom kit, which would likely have to be top mounted.

Hellion and ON3 use a shorty header that places the turbo's about where the OE cat's location.
